I cleared all the interview rounds for a role at GE Healthcare but the HR is ghosting me since 2 weeks after we agreed upon the offer verbally. Every day I keep following up for updates but the response I get is that approval has to be provided by global team. Has anyone faced such issues at other companies or is this something that is common.

HR ghosting me

Gave 4 long rounds for Flipkart sde 2 position. Did a decent job in all rounds (according to me). Now I am getting ghosted. HRs are not picking my calls from the last 6 or 7 days.
Also saw a leetcode post today, the person had the same 1st round as mine so I think he got selected.

Feeling very sad because this is the 3rd company that has ghosted me after taking all the rounds.

HRs don't even have the basic work ethic to say yes/no on a 30 seconds call. Worst people I'd say

I had a recent experience of having an interview with this MNC and getting negotiation calls,and I was willing to settle near their offer, just because the office was very nearby and then suddenly I got ghosted.

I was not even actively looking for a job and 6  rounds of conversation and a month later I got ghosted.

Ghosting by HR is becoming increasingly common. This is not only for junior or middle level roles but also senior level. Talk to a prospective candidate and go to sleep. One more round and then go missing again. Repeat the process till the person starts to question the culture. And ya, when you wake up, expect the candidate to leave everything and respond..else, you will go ahead and open the position. 

Anyone else facing this in startups?

Around a month ago, HR called to ask if I was interested in the APM role. After following up multiple times for the interview, they said the hiring manager didn't like your profile. After 2-3 weeks, different HR reached out, saying they want to conduct round - 1 for the same team. The interview happened, and I reached out to HR after 3-4 days for the next steps, but she kept cutting my calls and completely ghosted me. I reached out to another HR, and she said the feedback on the portal was that "experience is not enough."

I was pretty disappointed as while conducting interviews, HRs reached out to me so many times, but they couldn't even send an automated email for feedback. 

But it didn't end there. The HR who ghosted me called again after a couple of weeks to schedule round 1 with another team. The interview went well, and the interviewer asked me about my availability for round 2 and when I could join them, etc., saying we would try to conduct the next round soon. When I reached out for feedback, HR kept saying I'll call you later. I'm busy right now, and then they ghosted me. After following up multiple times, she said the feedback wasn't positive. 

I hoped for round 2 here since the interviewer seemed convinced and contented with my profile. Now, just because I reached out 10s of times, they told me that I have been rejected! 

How much time does it take to send an automated email? :/

Not able to get into HR rounds after doing well in technical interviews. 

Comp1: cleared 5 technical rounds.  They asked me to come in person for a particular date, informed me that date and time will be informed later. After a week got rejection mail. 

Comp2: Done well in the technical round. Profile was in process status  in the company portal for the last 45 days.  Today I got a rejection mail.

What fun you get in ghosting candidates? If you have no answers from your management you can inform the same. Now don’t say you have lot of job to do. Candidate experience is also your job isn’t it.

She was supposed to schedule interviews in starting on October, but now it seems she just ghosted me. 
She isn’t responding on mails, tried to reach out on LinkedIn but in vain.

I am interviewing for Adani Realty and I cannot understand how they are operating. 
They took 2 rounds, in the 2nd round changed the profile for me, didn’t share much details about the 2nd profile, gave me an assignment more in line with the 2nd profile and now aren’t confirming the 3rd at all.
They said they liked my assignment and when I asked if the first profile was still open, they have just gone SILENT on me. 
I don’t know what to do, I’m looking for a job and it’s been such an exhausting process. :(

In the past couple of months I have given multiple interviews where the interviewer said that they are good to go for the next round as the interview went well but the recruiter keeps ghosting.

I gave my 3rd round of interview on last Friday and it went very well. I was told it was the last round and I was looking forward for an offer. But recruiter is telling me from the past 3 days that she hasn't received any feedback still and she should receive it soon ( the guy who took my interview was from US team). Is she bluffing?

Last month I interviewed with NoBroker for a Demand Servicing Head position. The process went like this:

2 rounds of screening with HR/TA - was okay, good conversations. After which they scheduled an interview with the Business Head for the particular team. This interview went well too. 

After this they sent me an assignment - the longest assignment I've ever worked on as a part of the recruitment process. It asked me to write multiple detailed SOPs for the sales team, build a demand forecast model, and a complete demand generation plan for an oddly specific scenario. They gave me 5 days for it. 

I worked my a** off, desperate to get the job as I've been unemployed for some time. I did the assignment close to perfection - spoke to so many industry folks in real estate and made realistic assumptions, covering all possibilities. 

All in all I've not been so confident about my work ever like I was in this case. I submit and they acknowledge. 

Few days go by, I follow up, only to be given generic delay reasons by HR. Eventually, after more than a week they rejected me. When I requested for feedback on the assignment they completely ghosted me. 

I don't know why I'm sharing this here, but it's been hard. I've been jobless for > 5 months and every such experience completely shatters my already low self esteem further.

I’m interviewing with one of the FAANG company, the interview process completed last week and recruiter have ghosted me. What are some valid reasons for ghosting? They could have just acknowledged and said will get back with more information when they have, instead of ghosting. Would you like to share some of your ghosting stories.
