Guys how is the public sector IPO?

Funding winter has taught us that cash is king. How should one negotiate ESOPs now that it is clear that almost all unicorns are overvalued? Startups are still peddling ESOPs to new employees at 2021 valuation which will get corrected sooner or later.

Amidst global recession, specially for IT companies, Indegene is floating an initial public offering (IPO) in April 24! Thoughts on the subscription?

I remember 2-3 years ago we started to integrate Uniware for our warehouse and order management use cases and we were pissed with the product and the allotted account manager was nonetheless the funniest employee unicommerce could have. For every requirement he either denied us or asked that we have to bear the development costs. To the current day, Opened groww app and randomly saw Unicommerce under IPO section. Was happy and shocked at the same time. Arrange meeting with higher authorities at Unicommerce to congratulate them on this. Tell how was your experience with Unicommerce.

Swiggy is planning to go public soon and has offered to exercise our ESOPs at a certain valuation. This is not a buyback, so we will have to pay taxes on the exercised shares. Is it worth exercising now or should I wait for the IPO? I will only gain from this if the IPO price is higher than the exercise price, otherwise I will end up paying more tax. Did Zomato have a similar offer before its IPO? If so, what was the best option for its employees?
