Hooligans in Bangalore
With the increase in no. Of cases of bike borne hooligans terrorizing folks in cars etc, is it advisable to keep pepper spray as well as baton in the car, and if it is used in such cases where someone feels threatened n scared for their own safety, would it qualify as a case of self defence or would it amount to battery/assault charges? I would also install a dashcam both on the front and back side.

You think a hooligan might press battery / assault charges after threatening your life on the dual cameras you plan on installing?
If I were recommeding someone in close ones, this would be my recommendation - Always carry a pepper spray and a baton. Use the pepper spray as the last resort before any violence breaks out and use the baton only after you've been attacked even after using the spray.
Also, don't open your windows. Car damages are cheaper than physical damages.
Good luck and stay safe.
Defensive action can be equal to the force that you had faced e.g. you can slap back someone who slapped you in defense but not fracture their body parts or kill her.

Meanwhile a guy shot a prankster in us...
Dual dashcams.
Keep windows shut at all times. Being brave isn't wise. Pepper spray as weapon of last resort.
