How do you deal with loneliness?

I am 21 years old. I have good offers (20lac+) from good companies, but I am not happy. I always feel that something is missing in life, I don't know what and why I feel so. I tried to get in a relationship, but whenever I express this feeling, things get bad between both of us. I really want to love and get loved. I have been living my life alone for about 3 years now. I want to make friends, and I want to be in a relationship, but the last 3 years have not been nice to me because of which I don't like going out and having fun. I was in a depression and a workaholic nerd for the past years and feel that now I have got wired in such a way which is not letting me have fun and enjoy life. I find myself lonely. Whenever I don't have anything to work on, I get anxious, and I get this question, what am I doing with life. Maybe I am feeling lonely while writing this post and may sound little gone case. Open to your suggestions, do share your stories if you have been through this phase. Is it normal to feel like this?

As the title says, I work remotely and do not have friends in the city. I have in a nearby city, but they are busy with their 9-5 and hanging out with their colleagues on weekends. Living with a loving family helps, but I want to socialise apart from them.

Graduated in 2021, got an okayish job, still doing well career wise. I tried my own startups too. But I've never got the feeling of "yehi karna hai yaar life mein". All the friends are now disconnected. Doing WFH since forever and don't even have good connections at my current org or in my previous org. Tried therapy as well, didn't help much, they recommended medications, but that I'm not willing to do as of now. I don't know whether it's just me or this gruelling feeling of existential dread will ever go away. Maybe software engineering as a domain is like that, encourages introverts and introvertedness. But idk something is not right. No friends, no space to vent out frustrations. And it's been about 3 years since I last had a conversation with the opposite gender. I'm in complete mental mess, only thing keeping me alive is probably gym. I just want something to cling on to, to know this is not the end and this is not how it will end.

I am 23M working in a well renowned Fintech startup. Have got what I have dreamed of in college like high ownership, good pay and other similar things. But lately realized that I can't do these things for my majority of life. Although I enjoy my work but still feeling lonely and aimless. Previous to September it was remote but now they have made it hybrid and I have to reallocate to Gurgaon and now I am feeling more lonely and aimless in life. Have tried travelling and other stuffs inorder to find interest in life but nothing excites me.

Do you feel that evenings and nights are really depressing when you are lonely? By lonely, I mean that you don't have a partner or roommate to talk to (you can still have an active social life). I have an active social life and I talk to people in office, but most of my past friends and roommates got married and moved on. I don't really have any interest in marriage. The mornings and afternoon feel amazing even in weekends. But evenings feel depressing and sad. Anyone else feel this way?

Has someone else also felt this that the weekends feel too lonely and saddening. I go to office 5 days a week have good set of work friends across team (the people in my fellowship), go to gym and hangout with people in PG. But boom as weekend is here there is no work no Gym no friends in office or pG to hangout with. Friday night I pass with playstation games but Saturday becomes like a helll for me. I forcibly motivate myself to give a mock test on Sunday and end the weekend but weekend is like the worst part of my week. Anyone else facing it or tips to make it better

I work as a data scientist in a remote setting. I meet my team once a quarter. Here in Bangalore all my friends and my wife have work from office so I end up getting too lonely working from home. Also, this has shrinked my network compared to before. How are others in the city handling this? What forums, IRL places do you visit to counter this. Imho, This surely isn't great for long term career prospects.

Holi hai? Diwali hai? So what, nothing to enjoy. Lets spend the day laying on the bed, watching stuff over phone. Feeling less and less disconnected with friends, to the point where I feel I don't even have friends. College friends are based in another city. Didn't even try to make friends at workplace. Stuck alone in my homecity as past 6 years I was based somewhere else completing my grad and preparing for jee. Prior to that focused a lot on studies. So had little to no interaction with people during academics. And now when I have time and money to spend, there is noone with whom I can have fun with.

Question to bachelors working in a remote job from a metro like Bangalore, Delhi or Mumbai and not living with parents. How do you deal with not having people around you ? Does it get lonely sometime ? How do you manage your day and schedule around work in general ? Context :- I've got a job offer from an Indonesia based startup and they don't have an office in India. I've never worked a remote job, except COVID and I don't know if I should work from the metro or go back home? Benefits of Metro : You get to be around people who work similar jobs. Benefits of home : You save money and life is a little peaceful there.
