How is your work ethic? Are you all constantly on the toes ? Are you proactive, inquisitive, disciplined, do detailed research and complete tasks on time? I have been mostly working as individual contributor in very small team 1-2 person. So I have no reference for how am I doing. At time I feel guilty and anxiety when I am doing less work. Does the product give a detailed PRD covering all possible scenarios or a one pager?

Currently an intern for a XYZ company, pretty good, compensation is pretty good, I'm an SDE intern, the team which im in is platform engineering, should I switch the role which has something more based on the heavy coding side?

I don't see myself beyond 5 years here, would this team matter when it comes while making a switch?

Manager seems to give more work when I complete the assigned task in a short period. Should I do work at the pace of others in the team who work at normal pace or continue with the very fast pace. How to escape this deadlock.

Btw, I try to be fast paced in my work to maintain WLB and have some me time.

Hi guys, I am unable to understand if culture is bad or I am thinking about it wrong - “logging off early” message/email at 5/6 PM for someone who started at 9/10 AM. Does that mean the expectation is to stay until like 8 PM for this person? Or the person wants to be transparent in case he’s reached out later?
Don’t know but I feel bad that this is considered early.

Hi all, I have noticed that the experienced senior people around me [ ICs, EMs, etc ] have too much work and they are always in a work mode. 

Seeing them makes me wonder whether I would want to be like them in the future.

All the senior experienced people here, how stressful / hectic / difficult is your work life as you move up the corporate ladder? 

Is it even worth it to chase meaningless numbers, and promotions, and grow up the career ladder?

I recently started interviewing after a period of about 5 years and I am very surprised about the change in the way interviews are conducted these days. I have now interviewed for few companies like Sitetracker, Avance Clinical, Iron Mountain and expedite commerce and each organisation had their first round as a fit check round which i’m unable to clear.
