How to manipulate the tone?

What's your opinion on this? I feel it's creative, different, more importantly, an act of courage. And that's the downside of creativity, you gotta be courageous and you don't know if it will pay off or not. In this specific scenario, I *think* it's just mass media, if you say it's cringe, people will believe it's cringe, inversely if people had added "creative", everyone would have thought it's creative. Now there are two questions 1) When you do something so big how to manipulate the media, how to set the tone? Ofc paid marketing is one thing, anything else? 2) And in day-to-day life, how to manipulate people towards your work? Ofc good work is good work, but for creative pursuits, it totally depends. How do you (creative-people) do that, how to stay confident or importantly how to make sure your employers feel confident in your work/ideas?
