Just checked out job posting in Linkedin and nobody is even offering salaries above 6 or 8 LPA. How are digital marketing managers here on GV getting 25, 50 and 65 LPAs? Is Linkedin not the best place to look for a job? Please help.

What am I doing wrong?

I left a previous company in 2022 due to mental health condition , . Its been close to two years now , I am on meds still, anyway I have been trying really hard to get a job since the past two years but not getting , I have applied to atleast 500 + jobs and not getting any , I am living off my parents in their place with no idea what to do in the future , one of the main reasons to leave was office politics at my last job and also my condition which was getting worse , my parents are pressuring me everyday with their taunts , and I can't find work , I am a support specialist that can't work in rotational shifts, I don't know what to do and how will I earn ! Help!

me  on indisciplinary grounds. The manegement also cited that I've been quite notorious with taking a lot of leaves during my stint at this particular place and they aren't appreciative of that. They also mentioned that if they grant me a leave, it'll showcase that they are biased towards me and hence other employees will ask for leaves as well.

I'm really concerned and I am considering resigning given how the situation is. I have a lot of other issues with the firm and if I had to cite them, it'd be a 4000 word essay.

Hey All, I am writing this to express how I am feeling since last 1 year now. This post will be a bit lengthy but I would be grateful if anyone could help me even a bit. 
I moved into a new company 1year back and due to bad work environment I left. I took a months break and joined a new company now. I have a total 5 years of work experience, my salary is extremely good. ( I don’t worry about this at all for now)

My problem is I don’t know what to do in my life. I guess I have quarter life crisis. 

Earlier I wanted to do music and act , I took professional classes and left because I felt bored idk why. I felt like I need someone to guide me and handhold me since I know no one in this industry. 
Talking about my job I have always moved into roles I loved every bit of work and I m very sincere and hardworking. 
I stopped working out , I stopped cycling, I stopped painting.
I stopped liking everything literally. Idk how to get back at things. I feel I am gonna die anyway why I need to do this , or that or etc etc. I even took counselling but it did not seem yo help me. 

Idk what to do. Please share your experiences too and what I need to do.

I'm currently working at a startup in Bangalore. Consider that they are paying me X LPA. All fixed. I've total experience of Mar-October as Intern and October - Present as SDE1. So overall experience of 8 months. This means that my appraisal is due in next 4 months. As per our appraisal policy and as per conversation with my manager I'll receive around 50% of hike. So that will make my CTC as X + 5. But the catch here is that the project which I'm working at is fucked up and this project has highest attrition. Very bad client and constant abuses and abnormal working hour around 12-13 hours daily. Evrything is fucked up and I don't enjoy working here in this project. Project change is also out of question as no one will take this.

I've received an offer from Health startup eka.care but they are offering X+3 that too with lot of negotiation. The work culture is superb, the tech stack is fun and great, people are nice and team is highly qualified and great. 

I don't know what to do? I don't want to keep switching the companies every now and then. It's true that current org is paying and they will pay even more post appraisal but the work is not good and I don't like the work. New org work is good and I really want to join but they are not paying great, I mean the 30% hike is decent but if they pay X+3 then I would have to look for job again after 8-9 months because I'll be really needing money at end of 2025.

My total experience:
8 months - If intern can be counted then 14 months.

Please suggest me what to do? If I constantly switch in 6/8 months then that would deter other recruiters to contact me because I've made very unstable choices. I'm confused what to do, if any of you have been in such situations then please suggest.

Should I prioritise money? Work? Both? What about my profile? So much confusion is there and really I'm awaiting your inputs.

Hey all,

I am a recent MBA passout from one of the top 6 IIMs. After working for an year at a big ecommerce company, I wanted to work on more challenging problems and joined a startup at ideation stage as a PM. Its been a couple of months and now I’m not fully sure about the direction this startup is going towards. It will be a few more months before we exhaust funds and I doubt we will be able to raise more funds. Because of these thoughts, I’m unable to focus on current work as well and feeling anxious all the time. 

Any suggestions on what I can do?

I have many friends who are into IT and Tech(read again Tech not IT). Whenever I am speaking to the IT folks and understand their aspirations I always find that they have this strange thing mentioned every now and then i.e. Going to the Clients location(all overseas) for a couple of months and coming back or extending for a longer duration say a few years and purchasing a house/flat back in India. 

I don't understand how going to the client's location(even if it's on Mars) and earning $$$ can be life's ultimate goal. 

What am I missing here? 

I am not able to understand since I have always believed that life's ultimate goal would be always bigger for people(achievable/non achievable are different things). 
Does working in IT make people so myopic that they are destined to think in  the straight line process and wait for that token(at least what I have heard is that it's some weird selection they do to select and send you abroad on the projects). May be this thought process makes most of the crowd stick to the systems for years and decades at work. Is it considered that bigger of an achievement OR Is it a way to make people stick around for longer duration ?

What am I missing here ?

Me trying to act normal while my manager roasts me

I started at a pre-rev startup for 10K per month internship as an app developer when I was in my 7th semester of engineering. By the 8th semester, i became a full time employee for 6LPA. That was about 12 months ago. I have great rapport with my CTO and CEO. I received an offer for 8LPA from a well known company, my current employer matched it. I received a counter offer for 11 LPA (10+1). Even though I like the people i don't feel overly optimistic about this given the market circumstances. Should I make the switch? Really very confused.

Got placed for a package of 14 base after my undergrad, happy for my self. But when I look and see package for my friend who are working as an associate consultant with a package of 30lpa, I feel like I deserve more. Also I feel growth, package and perks are good in consulting.

Hi guys, I have been working as a backend developer for past 1 and half years and recently my team got changed, even though it's been almost 3 months i am still not getting any development task and it is making me anxious, as much i have been trying to upskill, i also want to contribute what i have learned so far.

The point of making this post is to ask where can i look for such opportunities, I do not mind money but i would like to meet people who are passionate about what they do or help someone out in need like an NGO or something.

Hello, everyone. I need your thoughts on this subject. I presently have 1.8 years of experience.

After 7 months as a Software Engineer/Analyst, I quit the company due to poor job quality (4 months looking for work).

Later joined a company, worked there for 9 months as a Web Developer, I was laid off. (8 months looking for work) 

currently 5 months (Fresher Application Developer) and counting. They hired me as a fresher because I did not have a good one-year experience.

However, I rarely describe these as experiences 😅 

In my current firm, I work on Flutter, however they recently assigned me testing tasks, which I am currently working on. I haven't done any development work in the last 3 months. When I joined, another guy joined with me; he had recently started a project, but I hadn't. Not only that, but every day I feel as if I am being left out of something vital. Recently, our manager handed us some documents to read, such as HTML and CSS, but that other guy and other members received CI/CD pipelines, Flutter Fastline, and other HTML and CSS-related tools. And the gap in knowledge is that it is constantly expanding between myself and my teammates. 

At home, I'm studying all of this, but they get to experience it firsthand in an established project, whereas I don't. This is making me frustrated and melancholy at the same time. I'm not sure what to do.

How do I proceed from here?  

I need all of your honest feedback on this. Please 🙏🏼

I am B.E. - Computer Science graduated in 2019. After that I started preparing for Upsc civil services exam. I didn't clear. So I decided to pivot to corporate sector. I upskilled myself for data analyst. I have been looking for job since last 1.5 year. But I am hardly getting any interview calls. Can't understand what am I doing wrong. Please help.
