Here's a typical tech hiring process these days. Round 1: basic screening on phone call. Round 2: Take home assignment - For Designers, Do complete redesign of the current website mobile and desktop, share edit access to figma file post submission (so that we can use your work for free). - For Developers Build complete full stack app with testing and latest tech, deploy app, db everythjng and give repo access. Time limit for both can vary but is very short given then task. Round 3: Ghost. Yes this is a rant, not all companies do it, but experiencing this a lot of times these days.
