I just finished an interview with ServiceNow for a senior software engineer role and writing this up.

Anger rushed through my body after finishing the interview for multiple reasons.

reasons:
1. The interviewer joined 10 minutes late and he was very lethargic.
2. The questions he asked regarding my current job were very basic and then I realized that he should be fresher or should have 2 - 3 years of experience.
3. After the interview I checked his profile on LinkedIn and he was a 2021 graduate (as I guessed).
4. I don't understand why an organization assigns software engineers (2.5 YOE) as interviewers for hiring a senior software engineer(8+ YOE). It doesn't make sense to me.
5. Then the interviewer asked a basic DSA question, and I gave him the solution, now he was not familiar with the Python language hence intrigued about the implementation of the heapify in Python. I explained to him how Heapify works but still, he could not understand what it is.
6. The part I got pissed off is the interviewer's attitude of him knowing everything.
7. The interview was scheduled for 1 hour and we went overtime, it's okay to go overtime by 5-10 minutes., But this guy is taking more than 20 minutes. He din't have basic ethics of valuing candidate's time.

This is not my first interview with ServiceNow, this is my second and I had same feelings in the first interview as well.

It's okay for me to not grab this opportunity, but think about someone who is really struggling to get a job during this tough time, because of the interviewer being lethargic.

Hope ServiceNow focuses on their interviewing system and improves it.

Hey all coders and other people who interview at LG SOFT, please see this post so that you can save yourself from a useless role!

I started to interview for non-tech pmo roles and got calls from few companies, LG SOFT being one of them. i decided to attend the interview and went to their campus, where i found 3 red flags

Interviewers are 2 hours late and did not care to talk on it and moreover, the recruiter was insisting on my coming early and called every few minutes before i reached there

Interviewers told me that we have to extend as they hire people to support projects and work may go longer than expected few times a week

Unplanned interviewers: as the hr told me, interviews are done in a day and the manager told i have to come another day as the person leading pmo is on leave and i was clueless issues,

Refused to tell the budget for the role

After that, i contacted the other people and found many red flags

They did silent firing and hired contractors via third-party payroll and did not permanent them

IDK about the tech team but the non-tech team is always fired per quarter and this keeps happening every quarter

9 hours on paper and 12 hours and one person had to handle multiple work issues adding up the plate

Issues: On team, the morale is low on many teams, as i knew contacting them

Just a small advice after my interview and it might be varying also they are not revealing budgets for the role and it is harder to see the big picture

I've been verbally notified by databricks that I've been selected for the software Engineer role. Most of the team members are in the US.

HR asked about my expectations and I said at least 30% increment over my current salary. I think I messed up here and I don't want to get low-balled.

So I just want to know how much databricks are offering in India.

Yoe: 3.4 years
TC: 29 LPA all fixed

Got a call from an HR of an edtech firm and they asked for PAN Card number on the first call itself. Said it was company policy as otherwise people apply from multiple IDs.

Is it normal to ask PAN/Aadhar number without so much as a first round of interview as well?
