Interview prep for mid-level SDE Roles
I have been out of practice on leetcode for sometime. Now, I am looking for a change and I want help on the resources that can guide me in the preparation of interviews for an experienced professional for the mid level/senior sde roles. I assume the level of questions and the process would be slightly different from a fresher hence wanted to gain some knowledge here. You- 5+ What should I focus on? I know coding, DSA questions for few initial rounds but should I focus more on medium - hard questions ? Or is it the design round which will be more important ? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Depends on which sort of company you are aiming for. If it is a startup, then there will be focus on your projects and experience, especially in system design. If it is an established startup, then there will be DSA in the mix too.
MANGA companies are DSA heavy. I interviewed at Google with ~6 years of experience, and I got multiple DSA rounds and one system design round. However, the EM round ended up being a security engineering round because both of us have experience in reverse engineering binaries.
thanks. Any resources you would recommend for DSA and system design?
For DSA: https://share.gvine.app/SBmabiADFcp6EWve8
For system design, it depends on your target stack and role. For mobile specific, look up for Alex Lementuev's Public Mocks on YouTube.
For backend roles, look at Gaurav Sen.
