It happens to the best of us. If you take each interview as a learning experience then you won’t feel as bad. Just think that I am giving this interview just to get the feel of it. If selected then awesome else I got to know where I am lacking.

I feel that if I had more time to prepare, I would have done better. The interview was scheduled on just a day's notice. I'm feeling very guilty. How should I overcome this?🙃

So, I fucked up an interview real bad 2 days ago, and my mind is unable to process it and cannot forget about it.

Don't know why I am feeling worthless from inside and feeling like this was my last interview. 

Maybe it's because of close to 40% hike I was getting on my fixed part. 

The results will be out by tomorrow and I am not gonna make it, I am pretty sure. 

I know life has something good in store for me and I am not seeing the future, almighty has seen it and he's simply driving me towards the path I am made for. 

But, how do I process it?

Not sure what else I can do? I'm sleep deprived as I work the night shift and I hate where I'm working. This is the worst. I really thought I had a chance even though it was so off my reach;-;

So as I am constantly looking for entry level product roles and preparing for GRE together, i somehow received call from Zomato's hiring team yesterday that my interview is scheduled at 11 am today for ZAAP ( Zomato associate accelerator program) . I joined the interview via google meet , the role was based on customer experience aka customer delight where if you will perform well you can get to join other roles such as program management , growth etc. after 8-10 month or an year , there were some hypothetical situations that interviewer given to us while dealing with customers and instead of focusing on how should I present myself in front of customers, deal with them etc , i started giving the solutions for improving the products that would reduce the customer complaints and took some guesstimates into consideration, although my solution was unique where I also added that how apart from refund or replacement for their orders if they are disappointed, we could also provide reimbursement to them via giving coupon codes of blinkit where they could order ready to eat snacks instead of missing order if time was actually a constraint for them but i realised that at the end They were looking for my communication and grammar which is good but i didn't focus much on that instead of solving the problem in a whole product management consulting way ,

An actual dumb thing I said was at my first Data Science interview at a top tech company here in Bangalore. Interviewer asked me about my projects, and me being unpolished, I said that I had done a regression project. So he asked me how did I measure whether the model was "good".

I said that, "The accuracy of the model was high"

Interviewer responded with, "...You know Regression tasks are measured with MAE/MSE/RMSE and not accuracy, right?"

Lmao. You live and you learn. 🤡

I usually panic before an interview and end up not attending it at all or postponing it. Even after preparing I feel under pressure and get performance anxiety. How can I tackle this?
I’m always worried about what they’ll ask and if I don’t answer properly what will they think of me, I get such intrusive thoughts. And even after preparing I always feel like I have not prepared well enough.

My contract was terminated last month citing restructuring.
Honestly, I saw it coming but wasn't expecting it would hit like this

I tried keeping my mind distracted, but now it has started to sink

I live with parents and they aren't saying anything (they were feeding me before and still are, no change for them)

I have had thoughts of ending all this, but do not have the courage. What if it ends halfway and I am redundant my whole life?

Credit card bills are coming through now and being 42% of my ex-salary wasn't something I was prepared for. I thought I was a sane spender.

How did you tackle being laid off?

Keep looking around, apply and eventually you're bound to get a good job I promise you. Just treat it as a numbers game. Ask your parents help with the credit card bills if you don't have enough corpus, there is no shame in that. You can give the money back to them when you're in a better position. 
  
 You're a nice person from what I know of you in this platform, you got this sis! Ending it all is not a good option for the people who care about you, and you're probably gonna look back later and smile and be glad for making it through

So I have made a similar post on grapevine before but doing it again because I have nothing else to do. 
Currently working in one of the big 4 passed out from a circuital branch in newer IIT. Have been dealing with anxiety since my jee preparation days . On meds since then . Fucked up my college life . Didn’t make any good friends . Didn’t study for placement as I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. Now working here feels like hell. Work starts at 11 and keep on going till 9 sometimes more than that . Thinking of doing a switch but fucked up interviews . Thought I should restart my life gave gre but didn’t get good marks . 
Feel like a failure . I cry a lot . Today thought I will do something productive but just kept crying . Called my father but he said why do I keep coming back to him with a sad face . Told him to fuck off and cut the call. 
Haven’t been to gym in a month cause my work doesn’t give time and I am too tired to wake up early . I am just reduced to my room sometimes I feel I should just jump from the balcony and end everything but I know I am coward cannot do that. 

Has anyone ever went through the same ? Will it get any better ? And yes I am taking therapy so no need to recommend that . Rant over 😞

Hi folks, just dropping in to say that I have failed three interviews all of which that I had hoped to close. 

I am in marketing so the answers in the interview aren't generally right or wrong. Different people perceive your answers differently and most people generally only do vibe check I guess. One of the interviews was really good but it required doing a presentation which I suck at. I got nervous while presenting. 

I was actively looking for a new role and spent nearly three weeks in frantically applying anywhere I could. Finally shortlisted 4 companies to appear for and 3 of them rejected me.

Feeling sad. Can't tell wife, friend or family so confessing here. Please send prayers and any referal for a good marketing role in B2B. Yoe 9 years and TC is 36 without stocks.

Hey all, I feel so shit at the moment. I’ve failed 8-10 interviews so far, out of job since a year. It seems like every interview they ask a totally different set of questions or scenarios. Whatever I prepare gets me maybe 50-60% of the way, rest are all new questions and I fuck up or I’m not able to fully give them an answer.

What makes me feel even worse is that, lot of people aren’t even getting calls at the moment and here I am speed-running every single opportunity to failure. I’m so done at the moment. No idea how to proceed or what to prep.

Just had a mid interview. Mid interviews feel so much worse than terrible interviews. Knowing you were close to being good. Anxiety if at all there'll be a 'next step'. The opening is somehow more exciting -- now that there's a chance I won't get through.

Urghhh.

I have got an interview scheduled with Sprinkler day after tomorrow . I was layed off couple of weeks back. So right now i am just not prepared enough for the interview as i was taking some time off for myself.

So I resigned from a unicorn recently because it was hell toxic and I was getting anxiety attacks. So I put in my papers, but the twist in the story is they curtailed my notice period. So now, I am jobless and feeling completely lost. Though interviews are in the pipeline but I didn’t get chance to prepare even during weekends due to excessive workload. Now, I got rejected in multiple companies . Also, I tried rescheduling a few interviews and the HRs got pissed off and said the position has already been filled (which is not true). So, now I am preparing but still feeling like a complete loser and losing confidence.

Today, I had an interview for a job as a software developer. The person interviewing me started by asking if I could speak Hindi. I told him I could understand it but wasn't good at talking because I'm from South India. He gave me a mean smile, which made me feel really unsure of myself right away. 😔 We went on with the interview. He asked a question that was kind of a design question, and when I tried to answer, he didn't really listen. Even when I asked him some questions, he didn't give a good answer. He was busy with his phone, and it seemed like he wanted to say no to me. I'm feeling pretty down about it. 😞 I don't get why he acted like that, but now I feel dumb after doing the interview.
