Messed up in production system
I have no idea how to inform this to my lead that I have deleted the api gateway in production accidentally and even though I have recreated it , the application needs to be published to stores again with this new api urls , I'm more scared of the customer as well , I am not able to calm down thinking of all the possible consequences it's gonna have from here on , I'm so fucked up really
Create new CNAME with old gateway url and point to new gateway url
Idk how come none of the teammates suggested it , not sure if that would have worked or if has any limitations but we were able to recreate the api gateway but new version of application pushed to appstore and playstore takes time for approval and that is the problem

Honesty and transparency will always benefit in the long term, in every aspect of life
Be honest. Its not your fault anyway unless you are system engg or devops you shouldn't be able to delete api gateway.
It's a small team , we all had admin access and trying to delete a resource I deleted the api itself because of the new console
Yea thats the issue, you all shouldn't have admin access, there needs to be better processes in place with roles and acccesses. Have seen this alot in startups, dropping production db etc.
Its not your fault, its hoe or cto or whoever leads your team responsibility.
