Money is never low in industry
I was listening to Karan Johar's autobiography (audiobook) He talks about starting Koffee with Karan. He was offered contract of 50 episodes with a fee of Rs 1 cr per episode. Someone told him he was being lowballed, especially coz he was inviting celebrities on his own accord. The revised contract had fees of Rs 4 cr per episode. Mind you, this was in 2004! We are in the 8th season of this talk show! Mindblown is an understatement π€―
That is film industry imho it has large user base. Not the same case with it sector.

It's true for all sectors. The top layer takes money everywhere
The freshers joining YashRaj or Dharma are paid 25k (that too in Mumbai), just for the brand name on their resume
Yeah that's true. But personally after some point in time, I feel like money won't give you happiness in your life. More money you have more you wanna buy or spend it. It's moh Maya for me.

Showbiz is one of the most profitable business in the world. The profit margins are filthy.
The user base is large and wide spread across the globe. Multiple sub revenue streams within. Not to mention, it can be a conduit for large amounts of black money conversion.
How do u convert black money through movies? Asking for a friend π€

Whatever costs are incurred in production like sets, cast and crew salaries/wages and equipment/rentals pay them in cash and keep them unaccounted. You are now an investor/partner in a film. Whatever profits come from advertisements, endorsement and ticket sales will come in white from legit companies. Pay all the taxes on this white money to the government.
You paid in cash (black)
And received proper profits
