What do you think guys on this?

Hi, I am an M. Tech CSE graduate from tier 1 college. I have one year of experience in back-end development. 

My current CTC is 14 lpa with 12.6 lpa as base pay.

I got an offer from a fintech startup with 15.5 lpa as base pay, 74k variable and 1.5 lpa as ESOPs vested over 4 years. 

Am I low balled in the offer?

My current company has a notice period of 60 days and the offer company needs joining in 30 days which in turn needs me to pay back for the remaining 30 days.  

I kindly request your help in taking the decision.

currently I work in an ai consulting company (<40 folks) with 20+ lpa salary.
recently I got an offer from a big mnc bank for around 15% hike on my total ctc.
I informed my current org yesterday and they have countered me with a 20% hike now. 
I am confused on what to choose.
ps: I have ~5 yoe.

I just joined a company and it's been only 2 weeks. When I accepted the offer there was another interview in pipeline and some delay was going. The result came and now I am confused what to do. 

Startup (current company) TC : 27+2 (base+pf)

New Offer from a big firm: 31.5+3.15+1.51+45kUSD(Base+target bonus+pf+stocks 4yrs) = 43.87LPA Annual CTC

It's not easy as it seems. The startup (curr company) has great culture and tech stack. The product is exciting. It is part of a larger parent company. 

Whereas the big firm (new offer) works on a Monolith and work mostly uses Java. Codebase is 20yrs old according to Hiring manager. And one more thing - I hate Java. Why the difference has to be so big in TC 😭 I don't like to be confused. Have you ever been in such a situation? I want to relate my situation.

If i have 2 companies with almost the same offer(12 LPA), both are start-ups. Can I negotiate with 1 of them that I have another offer of around 14 LPA. And if yes do they ask for proof before joining or after?

I got laid off in November. Had no luck getting an offer since then untill now. Recently recieved and offer from this company x. Glassdoor reviews are shit. They could only match my salary. Work from office with strict timings 9.30am to 7pm. According to reviews CEO is a hitler v2. Worst part is they have 3 months notice period. Only seemingly intresting part about this company is its work. Again, not so sure about that. They’re intlo building AI, ML and IOT solutions for companies.

Should I join this company and look for jobs or should I keep the offer and try for another one?

Should I join this company?

I recently got offer from an early stage startup in banglore. They raised a total funding of $5.19M over 2 rounds.

My offer is 13 LPA + 1 lakh retention bonus
5k per month for commute and health insurance

I have past experience of 2 years working with 2 startups and building apps from scratch for them.

Honestly I'm really confused about this offer, it is for sure better than my previous offer but I'm not feeling satisfied.

Any suggestions guys?

Should I join?

I am a software engineer with approx 3 YOE. I have offers from two companies both of which have their own merits and demerits. I'm having a hard time deciding which company should I join. Mentioning the details of the companies and offer below:

Company A:
1. Public company (not profitable, but good revenue growth over the last two years)
2. Get to join an existing team and project to work on interesting distributed systems challenges
3. Salary: 60 LPA cash + 10 LPA RSUs (with annual refresher grants)
4. Fully remote, don't need to relocate
5. Career growth would be typical to that offered by a large startup (around 2000 employees)

Company B:
1. Private company, profitable, excellent revenue growth, planning to IPO in the next 3 years at a ~$10B valuation (which is reasonable considering their growth)
2. Get to be a founding engineer of a new team and work on a completely new project, involving very hard distributed systems challenges
3. Salary: 41 LPA cash + 3000 NSO units (will increase as I get promoted)
4. Hybrid, need to relocate to a different city
5. Excellent career growth opportunity as the project has a visibility at a senior executive level

Confused about which company to join

I got an offer of 11.78 lpa from infy my current company i.e capg wants to retain me with the same and also will shift me to the kind of project I want. I have around 3 y.o.e what should I do here as capg is my first company. 
Some suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Confused on an offer from two companies

I recently got a decent offer. Recruiter asked me whether I want to wait for other potential offers before signing but I decided to sign as I thought that the market is bad and I might not get another offer.

Later I realised that I was lowballed in terms of cash compensation. Right now, I have been shortlisted for 2 more companies that pay very well and I think I can crack those offers.

The thing is, I like the first company a lot as their interview process and interviewers gave me a good idea of their work culture.

Ideally, I would want to join them but I also think that I can get a much better package, potentially 2x in terms of cash compensation.

Current offer in hand (good company): 18LPA fixed +  50LPA RSU vested in 4 years

Potential offers(decent company/ layoffs happened/happening): 25-35LPA fixed + RSU

I was also thinking that maybe I can go back to the first company after getting an offer from the second one and ask them to increase their initial offer or match it with the new one.

Any views viners?

Rejecting an offer after accepting it

Hello everyone, 
Wanted opinion on the following offer I received right now from an ed-tech startup in gurgaon.

My experience, 1YOE UiUx,
Place- Delhi
Current Salary 5.04LPA (All fixed and 5 day week office)

What they are offering is 
6LPA (90% fixed, 10% variable - based on performance, to be paid every quater, alternate saturday working)

And I'll have to shift to gurgaon for the job.


Is the offer good or what should I negotiate.
I have to confirm it soon, since they want me to join by monday.

Now, getting an offer from a startup. Team of 15-16 people. Pre seed stage startup. Will be building product from scratch. Lots of learning. 
Offering decent hike and since i m part of first team...getting small equity too.

Should I join this offer?

I m confused. But also thinking...it is risky but a lot to learn and growth potential is v high.

Hi Folks, I’m currently working as a Senior Category associate and Got an offer from an X company but the role is of customer support they offered me because I had prior experience. My current pay is 5Laksh/Annum￼ and they’re offering 8Lakhs for customer support role. 

3 disadvantages I have that is 

1.My current role is different and I don’t want to back to customer support again.

2. Currently working for 5 days with just one shift where as this company has 6 days with rotational shifts and offs. 

3. The location to this office is 20kms where as my current office location is 10kms.

Please help me make a decision? I should go for it for sake of salary or should I wait for same kind of role that I’m currently doing. 

Does this gonna effect my future career ??

Recently put down my papers at a Financial Services Company. The management is after me to take back my paper and retain me. I gave a lot of thought on the current profile, pay and the same at new Co. before putting my papers but all of a sudden the rosy picture being presented to me is getting to my head
 I am really confused about what to do in such a situation. Further I am scared that once I am retained i might be ill treated and made a scapegoat out of if my team doesn’t perform.

Should I just stick to my guns and avoid any retention discussion or give it a meaningful and positive thought?

I got an offer from splunk. The issue is last month I joined a banking MNC with 29 LPA as a fixed CTC.  

Right now Splunk is offering 22 LPA as base, 19 LPA as Retention bonus, and other benefits which makes my total CTC as 41 LPA. 

Not sure what to do? At one side I have a stable higher base pay job and on the other side a higher ctc and interesting job.

I am awaiting an offer from a big MNC, and I have discussions ongoing with some small companies as well. My notice period is now over, as my project is finished and they asked me to leave in a month (they don't want to keep me on the bench)

So, I wanted to check if there would be any issues if I opt to join a small company whoever offers me first and then whenever the big ones offer, leave the small company dropping them a mail and returning their assets, and join the big one without serving the notice period in the small company? Kindly advice.

I have 2 job offers in hand and now am a bit confused. Need your advice on decision-making,

1st offer - Jaipur location - investing and trading company, offering me an Equity Research Analyst role with a profit-sharing in the new business division which they are developing.

2nd offer - Bangalore-based startup, recently raised $550k, has 18 months of runway, the current scale is low.. they are offering me mixed roles - 50% of the time will go into Social Media and Content, 30% in Business and 20% in Finance. ESOPs will be based on 6-8 months of performance.

Now I have 2 career paths in mind:

1) I want to do CFA and get into the core finance side... it might also lead me to the VC, PE, or IB side.

2) Startup - I have done startup in the past but failed. I want to do startup again but currently want to join a good startup where I can learn from experienced people.

I don't know how I should go about deciding b/w these 2 career paths.

If you were in my shoes, how would you make a decision?

Today was the date of Onboarding for my new job. For the past few weeks, I have given interviews and negotiated with two companies. The later company only matched the first offer so I naturally went with the first one.

Now, on the date of Onboarding, they called me and increased the offer which is making the same interesting.

I have not been given any company's assets on my day 1 today. Can I still make the switch now ? Also need your advice on whether I should switch ?

I'm a BCA 2024 graduate, I got an offer from TCS as Graduate Trainee for 2.8 LPA.

I'm thinking of joining it and upskilling myself and leaving after the probation period( 1 year).

As of now, I'm mid at coding, but I can pick it up fast, should I join TCS and upskill myself or should i spend the next 6 months on my skill then apply somewhere else?

I've heard TCS isn't for Freshers.
