It won't create any problems. Simply remove the existing job from your CV for future endeavours if it creates issues. What if the on campus job never materializes? Then atleast you have something.

Would it be enough to just omit the job from CV? Companies do thorough background verification before onboarding.. will it not create problems? Also, what about the PF account?

My on campus job offer got deferred to 2024 with no exact month or date given. I was interning at a company and now am planning to join as FTE here till that job arrives. The off campus offer is ok ok, I do not enjoy it but am doing it to prevent resume gap and earn some money.

I have plan to switch to the on campus job in 2024 when it arrives by resigning at the current company. I am worried if it will create any problem? Can the on campus job offer be revoked? Any issue with the pf account transfer? 

Sitting idle and waiting for next year does not seem sensible to me. Please let me know your thoughts.

My offer (from a FAANG company) has been deferred to January 2024. I don't know what to do now: 
 
1) I have another job offer (~8 LPA), but that job requires me to serve notice period of 2-3 months 
 
2) A startup's founder rejected me, saying he wanted someone for long term (he thought I'll leave next January)  
 
Should I try for full time jobs? Many companies become unwilling to take me in, presuming that I will leave in January 2024. 
 
Or should I look for internships (even though I have graduated)? Getting an internship won't help mitigate the risk of not having a fulltime job offer after graduation though.

Offer deferred, don't know what to do

I am a fresher and had a full time offer from Byju's and I had joining on 16th June which got deferred to 2nd August. Today I got another mail and it is further deferred to January 2024.
I don't have any other offer right now and I tried texting HRs on LinkedIn but no response. I used to be an active CP coder in college days. Any referral help/advice is appreciated.

I am a 2023 grad from a tier-3 college. I had 2 offers:

1. 6 months Intern + FTE, tech role, CTC 13, consulting company. Offer got deferred to December. Internship also got cancelled citing reasons related to recession.

2. Mass recruiter, CTC 6. Most likely deferred as no communication with company.

What should I do now? For the time being, I am interning at a startup to avoid gap in resume. Shall I start freelancing? I have 4 months of prior internship experience in React and Node.

2023 Grad's offer revoked to Dec

Hi Guys,

I am currently working at a startup and was previously working at an IT MNC for 3 months. I was put on the bench and laptops/assets were not even delivered for 2 months of requesting. When the assets arrived there was 3 weeks of compliance and regulatory training before which my position was eliminated as a result of business restructuring and downsizing. I got my startup offer (strategy type role)by then and I resigned from the IT firm with proper reliving letter and fnf settlement. I have now got an offer from a boutique consulting firm(after working in my startup for around 6 months) . I have however not mentioned this IT mnc in my resume at all since I did not gain any kind of work experience at this firm and it was not adding any value to my resume in terms of the types of roles I am looking for, I wanted to keep my other internships and startup tenure as they were more valuable. Is this going to cause an issue if I undergo a bgv process in my new firm? I have all the proper exit documents and there is no overlap of employment anywhere. Please advise. I am a 2022 pass out.

So I have resigned from my company as I am pivoting towards Law and joining Law School. 
My program starts in first week of July. However my contract states 90 days of notice period. 

They have agreed to relieve me before my university joining date however they are asking for notice period advance recovery amount i.e equivalent gross salary for the days of notice period not served

I cannot move my date of joining as I have to join on campus by first week in July.

The Notice Period Recovery amount is a significant amount. 

Also since I am pivoting in a new career, my hypothesis here is that I do not require experience or relieving letter

How do I navigate through this maze? 
Anyone who has experienced similar issues and can suggest ways to negotiate and go about it?

Hello everyone, I am an ML Engineer Intern and have been doing full time internship since past 1.5 years, will be completing one year in June at current company, so the thing is I will be graduating in 10 days and the company is still not talking about PPO, so what should I do now? I don't have another offer as I did not sit for on campus placement because no good companies were coming and I am earning more or approximately equal to most of the companies paying for full time in college.

Now I am a bit scared as I will be graduating and still don't have a full time offer, I am the guy in college where everyone used to tell that I will grab the highest package and here I am in this uncertainty whether I will get full time offer from current company or not. I have worked very hard, even worked late nights and even on weekends and still they are bot talking about PPO and I am applying off campus but there are not many openings for freshers or 2024 graduate even though I have more practical knowledge and skills, so what should I do now, continue as an intern till I get full time or what should I do? I know Python,  ML, DL, NLP, tensorflow, pytorch, django, javascript, GO, Docker, linux and I am a very good learner too. So if anyone of you can help then it will be good, I have posted before also on this platform but have not received any help, though got couple of referral but they were of other profile or required  more experience and hence got rejected without even an OA. So please refer me or give advice what should I do next?

Hi all, for a quick background, I graduated from a Tier 1 college this year. My offer got deferred and finally revoked. I have joined a wfh company for 40% of the previous package. Work here is not very hectic and I definitely want to switch from here in a year or so. 

I think it's a good time for making a good personal project to learn new tech ( non circuital branch with not much dev experience). I was thinking of a full stack microservices based project in node as I have done a mern stack project before. I won't be able to make end to end from scratch. 

Can someone suggest a resource, for eg any course, from where I can get theoretical as well as implementation knowledge.  Or, if any other suggestions that would be appreciated.

As i was already placed my tpo cell didn’t allow me to sit for other companies. So confused now. Now not many companies visiting college and the offer was 15Lpa. It was of 4rounds. Now in 2 months I will be graduating and still I don't have full time offer and now I feel like all the sacrifices I made in my first and second year went in vain, all the hard work, consistency, missing parties and trips all these things now makes me sad, where did I went wrong and what should I do now?

I am currently doing an SDE Internship in one of the startups in gurugram. Initially I was given a 6 month intern + full time offer, all went well, but in the last month this company is revoking full time offers of some interns  and extending the intern offer to 3-4 months. They are offering 6 months internship (40k stipend) and 10 lpa package but it comes with a 2 year bond. If broken there will be 1lakh penalty.

I am a 4th year CSE undergrad student from tier 2 college. 

I have done internships at various small startups all remote and also have freelancing experience.
But now in dilemma because of my expectations from me. The companies coming in my college for placement are not very big and not offering much . Mostly offer package in between 5-15 lpa .

For off-campus I am not that confident that I will pull through it , As the no of applicants are very high and have CP experience, ICPC all that stuff but I dont have that.

Another option is to go for remote Jobs in small startups. But they will not pay much . And do their experience matter?

I have a fear of not getting a good company and and being left out 🥺.
