Promotion & Responsibilities

Hi folks, I’m grossly underpaid and my work output + impact warrants a promotion and a fat hike imo. But being told that this is not possible mid year. What can I do to make it happen? Haven’t had a proper conversation regarding this with manager yet.

Hi everyone, 2023 IIT Grad here, working in ServiceNow since July 2023. Current Base: 15L I have around 7-8 months of experience here and over a year of experience at Startup and Servicenow being a Software Engineering jntern, at startup, I was almost a full time, leading projects on my own. I recently had a 1:1 with one of my teammate, he is couple of years senior and has a base of 24L. He told me you have been working really good, so in this upcoming March, you can either ask for a promotion OR for a good hike. I have heard, in ServiceNow, promotion or hikes happen only once a year. Then I talked to someone with 7-8 yoe, he told me it won’t be good to talk about this when you have just joined that is, 7-8 months ago. He said take whatever they give you. I need community’s views should I talk to my manager about this OR Should I let it go? My friends at other companies are making 20+. I didn’t sit for placements because of PPO. Please advise. So since past few days, I'm getting feeling that they are going to sack my manager and are going to promote me to his level. They have already started sharing sheets with me whose access I didn't had earlier. It's a team of 6-7 designers, and I'm senior among them. Now, if they promote me toh manage this team, how should I ask for hike? What important things should I highlight so that I can make a good case for myself? Should I let them give me additional responsibilities and wait till june-July for appraisal? Appreciate all suggestions

I had joined a company after my 3 years of post qualification experience and 3 years of pre qualification experience into internal audits. During interview we were promised to work for USA cpa firm but now they want all of us to move to internal opportunity which is not related to my profile. I have been giving interviews but not getting a good raise so how to ask for raise ?

Hi everyone I am working for a service based company. my profile is Devops engineer. I have a 1.6 year full stack developer experience . The last 6 months I have been doing work on the cloud. I switched to DevOps profile. I have a total of 2 YOE and my current pkg is 4.75 CTC. you all know it's time to start for appraisal so how can I take more hikes and how can I propose ?

One of my close coworker rather a best friend, recently talked to his manager for promotion. However the hike after promo what manager said was ~25%. However same experience, same team -same experience guy who got promo in last December cycle got fixed around 28-30L. Now he had asked suggestions. He's fixed is coming around 24. He asked me how to get fairly treated. Both are having same experience, same team. However the earlier guy joined at higher fixed. Is there any way to see this as he can't compare himself directly. I am not expecting promotion this year but this seems to be a genuine question to be treated fair. If any such scenario comes to me , I would simply get an offer and leave. However I want to know the correct approach.
