Razorpay silent layoffs and issues
Issue at @razorpay all other folks do pitch in. All other people who have offer from Razorpay or joining Razorpay please check this and ask the team from HR is that team is profitable before joining .

From the outside it seems like the company is doing incredibly well. Companies not paying severence for layoffs should be taken to court.
@MrRobot1992 totally true, but the problem is people need to switch jobs who are fired sad reality :/
My manager tells to improve culture, the focus is on high quality talent. I saw 2 exits in my team due to performance primarily. While it hurts to see friends leave but I also understand it’s required for any company. The new people are very talented and it feels good to work with them.

My company is preparing for IPO. Should I be worried? 😟
As per GV posts, companies with good culture deteriorate into chaos when company is prepping for IPO. Are there examples of companies where this is not the case?
@DesignTinker may be like they need to show profit on paper and it creates a lot of issues if org is not organized properly .
This I am telling you all from starting only that don't join Razorpay. It became the worst company
Silent Layoffs stopped right now i believe, only because the attrition rate is high.

I'm not, I genuinely just didn't hear any PIP news since the last cycle. I do know they PIP. Trust me, last thing i wanna do is shill any company.
@clapped okay so just fyi pip are happening as of now as well and even last week and people are forced to put papers or go through pip.
And pip is just 1 month notice period nothing else.
@MoneyTrap the only difference is razorpay is still profitable and can survie if policy becomes better.

Operations and CS and Analytics and Solutions Teams culture sucks at Razorpay with leadership taken from banks and made highly toxic with no growth !!! Also cofounder doesnt care about attrition as the company is of a strong belief that they have already built major infra hence dont need great employees.

Summarising the replies here. Yes, Razorpay is profitable and it'll survive. But will it be with or without you is the question all employees have.

Existing employee : just move out if you are not happy.
New joiners : be very cautious (dont join IMO )
