Should i take a pay cut

Are there folks on the vine who have experienced previous down cycles? Financial crisis of 08-09 or the funding winter in 16-17? What would you suggest someone who has been laid off on how to navigate career trajectories given the uncertainities ahead. Many folks would have planned their career paths but due to the change in situations all of this has gone for a toss. Should people settle for lower pays or lower designations? How does it impact the trajectory ahead Other folks who have read about this or discussed this with others do pour in your thoughts

What are some excuses to decline an accepted offer?

Hi folks, I got laid off in Sept. since then looking for a Job. market is so scary. Few questions: 1. a lot of companies are hiring through crewscale, etc. they are offering low salary as per the role. are companies paying low salary to them or they are taking a big cut? do people treat them differently once they join a company via crewscale? 2. I am not able to get my resume shortlist for mncs. what to do now? recently my friend got a call from razorpay gehy were offering for sde role 15 lakh for 2 years experienced. they were paying 22 lakh for sde 1 last year. the role is not product engg or solution ennggg that they recently introduced for low salary. it was sde role. fat rhi h ab. kya kru?????? my exp: 2.5 backend

3 years post-MBA exp. Currently at INR 35+ LPA. Offer in impact consulting at INR 23 LPA. Should I take it? Joining in Jan'24. Reason for switch - can't tolerate my toxic manager anymore. Have already put down my papers. Line of thought: 1. Take it - Something is better than nothing. At least paisa aate rahega. 2. Wait - Once I go at a lower package, difficult to demand a hike on my current one. 3. Take it, don't mention it - Companies will negotiate hard to lowball me if they know I am not working (gets worse if the LWD of my current company and the time am applying have a huge gap). Money matters to me. But have been introspecting a lot. Will appreciate realistic input from the community.

The company I used to work for recently shut down and I just received my first offer from a sizeable unicorn. I am being massively low-balled (20% cut). And on top of it, it's an exploding offer. I have a couple of interviews lined up (they start after May 28th) but at the moment, this is the only offer I have. What should I do? 1. Hard negotiate? Right now I am looking for a new job because of a layoff in my own company. I have recently applied for a new job. I didn't get a hike and they even decreased the basic pay in their shared CTC Structure. The in-hand is the same as my previous company but my basic salary is impacted. Should I accept the offer or let it go?
