CSPO, Advanced - CSPO, any foundational cloud platform certification (AWS Cloud practitioner etc). IMO, other generic product certifications don’t add much value. For upskilling, there are tons of video courses on YouTube on PM, APIs, Data etc if Technical PM is your thing. 
 Learning Customer analytics platform such Mixpanel, Pendo, Hotjar always helps if you are targeting Growth PM related roles.

It purely depends which product you are going to aligned with and the level of Seniority. Ideally CSPO and CSM are best to start with and then leverage the technology driving your product.

I am currently working as a management consultant with a top firm (MBB, Kearney, Strat&, OW equivalent). I'm considering switch to PMM roles. On paper, both PMM and management consulting have some overlap in required skillsets (strong communication, problem solving, stakeholder and project management) but it is still not a popular MBB exit for consultants. Want to understand what's the industry expectation wrt PMM roles and if management consulting experiencd will be valued.

Any further insights from PMM or product/ growth folks will be highly appreciated. TIA.

I'm in a dilemma and need your expertise!

I'm a senior consultant(mix of business analyst and consultant) at a mid size organization with 3 YOE, 16 LPA from tier 1 college. 

From my understanding I'm entering a stage where i can still pivot to product management, as later on it will be pretty hard!

So my question to you all is that is it worth it to change career or should i climb ladder in consultancy.

I don't really have any passion, my main focus points are money and job security. 

What do you think i should do?, what pays more?, which field has more future opportunities?

Hey good folks, I’ve have had a decent long career of 9 years now, started with finance for 1 year switched quickly to category/program/ business facing roles for the longest time, I have worked in various edtechs - notable Unacademy initial days, currently working for a fintech company, I have a very good interest in tech as a whole for a long time, product management is the best role for me move forward and switch, I wanted to know a way to switch or learn in the right way, do courses work ? now I'm seeking a PM certification course from a reputed institute of India.

1) I want genuine opinions ( preferably from other PMs) as to whether it is the right move to switch from engineering to PM.
will it be worth the hassle ? 

2) also my current job is remote so are there decent remote PM opportunities or the role demands you to be in the office more 
( this Is an important factor) 

3) while making the switch would I have to compromise on the package since it's a role switch ?

I am a working as a technical product manager from 2+ years in a nbfc. My manager has given me the option to switch to business product manager.

Reason for switch : Our product (LOS and LMS) is a complex and extremely large. Due to this, I had asked for a additional product manager. Manager had hired it reluctantly. Now he feels that product does not require 2 products.
