Startup —> MNC: Salary vs Experience?
I’ve been growing really fast at my company with quick promotions and salary hikes, but now I’m considering moving to an MNC (targeting Google, MS). I’m wondering if this kind of rapid growth makes it harder to get hired by an MNC. For example, since I’ve moved up in salary faster than someone with my experience might typically earn, could that make it difficult for an MNC to offer me a role because their salary range for my experience level is lower? Has anyone else faced this situation?
Why would you like to join Google or MS, when you are doing good and also with an IPO coming up? Do you think it’s a fluke? For an MNC it might be a bit high, but there are other companies who are giving more than that for engineering roles
Thanks for your response! I have personal reasons to switch, nothing related to the IPO. I’m planning the switch after some time anyway, just looking for perspectives and guidance to make my decision
What role are you in? Any guide to get this much package..?
