The hands that hold through time!

I captured this moment on a street in Bangalore—a moment that felt like it belonged to another time. An elderly couple, standing together with their luggage, hands intertwined, as if they had traveled not just through cities, but through decades together. In that instant, I couldn’t help but reflect on how rare these kinds of connections are becoming in today’s world. We live in an era where dating apps and social media have turned relationships into transactions—quick, disposable, and often superficial. Casual flings, 'situationships,' and physical connections have become the norm. But where is all this taking us?

Are we chasing instant gratification at the cost of something deeper and more lasting?

We’ve all heard stories—people getting bored in relationships, not putting in the effort, or cheating when things get tough. There’s a growing culture of short-lived satisfaction, and it’s easy to fall into the trap of seeking the next thrill. But what happens when all the thrills are gone? When, one day, you’re surrounded by people, but none of them truly know you or love you for who you are?

This couple —what do you think they’ve been through? Their love wasn’t built overnight. It’s weathered storms, celebrated joys, and shared countless moments, both big and small. That kind of love doesn’t just happen; it’s nurtured over time with effort, patience, and mutual understanding.

Maybe it's time we look back at how our parents and grandparents approached love. They didn’t swipe right and move on when things got hard. They built lives together, navigated challenges, and held on when the road got rough. They weren’t looking for something fleeting—they were looking for something lasting. Because in the end, when the rush of youth fades, and life slows down, wouldn’t you want someone who’s still there? Someone who will hold your hand, just like this couple —a love that has stood the test of time, effort, and life itself.

True love isn’t instant. It’s built over time. It’s a journey worth taking.
