Those who lived abroad but moved back to India, how did your family react?

It's for the people who stay away from their parents for work. How do you deal with this guilt of leaving your parents behind when they need you the most? Also, if you have done something regarding this, please mention.

I’ve had some experience (2/3 of my life) staying abroad but didn’t make it into any full time long term roles and moved to India. But if given an opportunity I do want to go abroad, it’s just difficult. I see folks here that moved back to India intentionally. Why did you do that? What about India made you come back?

I'm a Software Engineer with ~4 years of experience. I'm thinking of switching companies and grabbing opportunities abroad and eventually settling there. I'm planning for the Netherlands or the UK, mainly because of the standard of living they provide. However I've also heard of people returning to India. Can anyone here share their experience or know someone on how is life living abroad?

Question came up because it’s Independence Day 🇮🇳 A lot of us have had the privilege to be able to go abroad, but ended up choosing not to. For me, it was just believing there’s enough growth here in the coming few decades + friends/family Looking to hear if the reduced brain drain is actually true, and what makes people stay.

I'm a 28-year-old data scientist with approximately five years of experience, and I'm considering the pursuit of a Master's degree in the USA. My plan involves participating in a pathway program, beginning with three months of coursework at IIT Jaipur, followed by one year of studies at Drexel University in the United States, with a focus on Machine Learning Engineering. However, it's important to mention that Drexel University is currently ranked 98th in the United States. What are your thoughts on whether I should proceed with this plan, considering my age and experience? Furthermore, I'm curious about your perspective on the expected salary range for someone of my age and experience in the USA, given my current salary of around 25 lakhs per annum (LPA) in India.

I work in a small green tech startup company based out of Norway with full remote from bangalore they make ev battery . I am working as chief data officer , but the company has less data but good wlb and very good environment . Nobody is stoping me to do anything . I got an offer from grab Singapore in Singapore with salary 30000 sgd per month and stocks extra . Should I leave India for Singapore . I have 20 years experience and growing child middle school and current ctc 1.25 inr with bonus . Should I go or not
