Today I learned: Chanakya's views on Women were so regressive it makes me pukish

We should perhaps not give so much importance to a sexist person such as this.

For instance, in Chanakya Neeti, he stated that speaking falsehoods, starting work without thought, and exhibiting greed and cruelty are inherent traits of women. He also advised men against marrying women who are beautiful but lack intelligence, are rude, or come from a bad family background.

Additionally, Chanakya compared women to potentially dangerous elements such as fire and snakes, suggesting that they could be fatal. He also held the view that women are responsible for domestic disputes and advised against taking their advice
