Often we look for “happiness” while we rush through life like there will be time later to pause and enjoy. Little moments should be cherished and enjoyed - makes the day to day more meaningful. 

Mine: 

1. 5 small red roses and 3 white roses in the balcony. Waking up to that felt good and makes me smile today.

2. 5 minutes in the balcony and the morning sun. therapeutic!

Today is gonna be the last day of my college life 
, There was someone to who i adored a lot , loved a lot ,spent a lot of time together just to hear at the last moment that we are just friends despite of the fact that the things were much more than a friendship ,I blocked her on 21st sept 2023 after one year of beautiful memories i made with her and she tried to reach out to me but couldn't, The bond we shared defined a lot of things and I was there just to let my heart got shattered, maybe she didn't find me compatible or whatever but literally I never thought that things could turn out like this . Tomorrow is the last day of my college, she will come , I'll Also be there , i have memories, regrets , pain together, what will I say to her if she'll try to talk to me ,What should I say , if I will avoid her , i will regret and if she will talk to me then there will b a pain , whatever was there in my heart i have given everything to her , Time will fly but memories will be there...

Hi everyone, just wanted to ask something idk if you get it or not but things are hard on me lately ...i am an it professional with good 2.5 yoe but I feel like i belong in management side of world not here and for that i want to pursue MBA and that's my interest i want to make career switch but lately at my home my marriage discussion has began...i am going to be 26 in july and everyone think i am already little late (yes, that's the reality According to them) i told them about my aspirations they said do it after the wedding...and i am hell confused what should i do because I don't want to be in it (less salary and hectic work in which i have no interest) ...and idk what kinda person i am gonna meet in wedding setup ...even i will be able to pursue it or not ....tell me how you deal with it...any suggestions will be helpful.

My fiancé’s pay is 3x mine. And I feel guilty for not being able to scale up to a respectable pay or career advancement. This is my capacity - I am slow paced and a late bloomer in everything in my life. I feel like I don’t deserve a fiancé with 3x pay as mine and could find someone better than me as I was questioned by my fiancé about my career trajectory. I keep wondering in what way I can contribute my share once we settle. How will I do 50/50 because it doesn’t seem possible to do that. I will have to cut back on all my wants before things turn sour between us due to this financial imbalance. I don’t want money to get in the way of our relationship. I don’t know if anyone feels this guilty for not being able to contribute financially towards their married life. Or am I overthinking all this in my mind. It takes a hit at my self esteem when I see my friends/family around being able to achieve this financial equilibrium with their spouses. It makes me feel inadequate and not as empowered.

I'm 21 m. Had a 9 months old relationship with a girl who's 6 months older. It was the best 9 months of my life. We connected on so many levels that I never thought would happen with me at such a young age. 

Recently, she broke up with me. It was not our mistake. Her mother isn't well (from a long time, and I knew that) and her last wish is to see her daughter getting married. 

Forcefully, she had to admit this and told me everything. And told me that we need to end this. 

It's been 3 weeks, and there's minimal contact between us. 

I'm a final year college student, not getting placements, too much pressure from family. I can't think about anything. Feels like all of this is eating me up. We had very secure future plans, but everything is over now. I don't know what to do. 

I try very hard to stay on track, but her thoughts are eating me up. I've started meditation, therapy and everything, but nothing is working the way I thought it would do. 

She was the one that gave me assurance that everything will be fine. Her presence was the most peaceful thing I had, but now, there's nothing. 

Help me, please. 

PS: please don't judge me the way I am. I'm trying to be normal as much as possible but nothing's working.

I recently got married, it was an arranged marriage. We both are polar opposites. I dont go around telling my family or her family about our day to day affairs. But she gives full report of my life and my family's affairs to her family. During both family get togethers, I come to know that she has given complete info of my life. Her extended family also knows my complete life routine/friends/finances, etc. 

I brought it to her notice already but seems she still informs them everything. How do I have this conversation with her and make sure I am able to build trust with her?

The girl I’m dating is a perfect match but she doesn’t care how she looks. She could easily be 8/10. She has poor dressing style and awful eating habits so she started becoming fat. How do I ask her to change without breaking her confidence and heart? I really love her but this could be the deal breaker.

So i am software engineer working remotely and situated at my hometown (Tier 2) , after signing off day I go to a public park daily except Sunday’s for run there i found a girl who comes to the same park with her dog for max 10 min and then leave i am highly confident she is giving the positive sign that she is interested but i am damn sure she will not initiate . I go there  we have long eye contact none of us utter a word then she leaves . I feel sad daily that i have missed that chance to speak i need help how should i approach her mind you there are other people too have walk in the park

I recently got married. It was an arranged marriage. We both work in corporate. Our lives have been different, I enjoy techno music, having good conversations, meeting new people, wearing good clothes, according to occasion. But she is my opposite, she is very conservative and old school. She has no sofistication or elegance, whereas i am sofisticated. Anyone meeting us for the first time can tell we are polar opposites.

We have nothing in common to do or talk about.

My mother is diagnosed with Grade 4 liver damage today. She also has Type 2 diabetes which "does not subside"

She doesn't eat any sugars, cut out starch, very very occasional outside/packaged food, no alcohol, has been working (job and household), works around clock in the house
Taking allopathic medicines for diabetes, now may start diet restrictions for Liver damage too

Strongly feel she is being mis-diagnosed. 
The hospitals and diagnostic centre are trying to milk healthy people too. How else do you keep up revenue

Have you faced similar situations? What can be done here?

P.S. Most of the doctors we have met are big C, the ones who sound genuine are the ones not treating 😪

Ever since 9th grade, I watch a football compilation video every time I am about to step on the field to play football. ⚽️🏟️

While I’m tying my shoe laces, the music thumping in my ears with cinematic visuals of the most insane football skills ever. 🤯

All throughout my college days as well, before every football game. I used to carry my headphones with me and watch a video. Emulate some flairs and new skills on the field, score long range goals and Shush the crowd. 🤫

Even today, when that time has long gone by, anytime there is a friendly Sunday match between friends. I’m sure to blast some music and just watch football before playing.

And yes, even today I get the same goosebumps as I step on the field and touch the ball. It’s the best feeling ever.

I am 33M, started working at 20. Earned 87LPA when I was dropped off in June 23. I am a very responsible person who had taken care of everything in the family for quite some time. My parents and relatives and everyone else who know me well, know this and kost have appreciated this at some point.
My sister separated from her husband 6 months after my marriage and had been living with me and my wife since then till COVID hit.
My mother has anger issues and my father is very obedient to her. I love my parents and they loved me I think.
Post COVID I moved to my hometown (because family) and things started going downhill. My mother will almost entire day find every faults in my wife and share it with everyone with an angry tone. I just listened to her initially for 2 years but at times I told her that it's enough.
Now she has started fighting me. After the fight I would go and apologize to her knowing that it's not my fault just to make things right.
This time when my mother fought with me she taunted me that you will come back and apologize. This hurted me even more than the fight.
Now I am not going back to apologize and she's escalating it every day. Convinced my father and my eldest sister(happily married) that I am a bad son. Shares messages like "maa bap ko pareshan krne vale bachho ko kya fal milta hai" in WhatsApp groups.
She has even asked me to vacate home. I am unemployed at the moment and I told her I will when I have a job.
I don't know how to deal with it. I can't convince people in the family that she has anger issues.

I just found out today I’ve been cheated on by my long term girlfriend who I lived with. Turns out she’s been cheating for a few months but she’s only just told me now because she’s fallen out of love for me and she’s fallen in love with him, so she’s leaving me for him.

She says I neglected giving her the attention she needed because I was so focused on work I forgot to do the nice things for her like bring her flowers, or take her out for dinner or to just show her how much I loved her.

Even though I’m so heart broken and haven’t stopped crying, I do forgive her because it’s true my work hours were bad and because we lived together I kept thinking in my head “it’s fine, ill make it up to her next time”. 

Plus, I was planning to quit my job once bonus comes at the end of this year to find a more chilled job so I could spend more time with her, I truly am ready to leave my job and that was my plan so I was just holding out until then. But now I won’t have the chance because she said its too late she has already lost interest in me and loves him.

But this guy is a software engineer at a FAANG company earning 60-70L a year whilst only having to work 9-5 so he’s richer and has more free time to give her attention. Actually she said he only works around 3 hours per day, he does around 1 hour in morning then 2 hours after lunch and for the rest of the day he’s free to spend time with her, and his company doesn’t notice or mind. So this guy earns almost 3x my compensation for only 3 hours a day meanwhile I’m working 12 hours a day 

She would sneak out whilst I was at work to go on dates with him or round his house and then she would come back to my home in my bed in time for when I arrived from work so I wouldn’t notice. 

Now I feel really broken, I’m in no mental state to be working I can’t think about anything else I have deadline for work today and I’m just sat here crying writing this post. I know men are meant to be strong and hold our emotions together but I really am sad.

I want to ask for 3 days sick leave at work but I don’t know if this normal and acceptable to do? Given most sick leave would be for grievances like the death of a loved one etc.

or am I being a cry baby and I should man up and continue to work?
