Tata Sons Urges Air India to Retain Vistara's Superior Service Amid Merger

- **Tier 1** (Should Book These): 
Vistara (for comfort, feels, food)
Indigo (for being cost effective, on time, no frills) 

- **Tier 2** (Doable): 
Air India (some planes are good now, but still inconsistent)
Spicejet (if you are in luck, it's not too bad anymore) 

- **Tier 3** (I Don't Value My Life)
Air India Express (fka Air Asia - avoid for life)
Akasa (it's a great flight, as long as you assume your takeoff is at T+2 hours by default) 

Feel free to opine but this is how it is. I fly every month and have done so for years now.

There are certain cards which help you get free tickets(not entirely free though)

 With this you get 1 Vistara Premium Economy Ticket which would easily cost 8-10K INR if you were to book by paying

 1.5lakh spends in a year - 1 more ticket 
 3lakh - another ticket 
 4.5 Lakh- another ticket 
 8 Lakh - another ticket

So why are domestic flights more expensive than International flights?

I was checking flight to Ranchi for today it is showing 21k 

While today's
flights for Bangkok is 14k
flight for Dubai is 13k
flight for hongkong 16k

Why are flights so expensive nowadays?

Airport/flight experiences is decreasing day by day, meanwhile the flight prices are increasing like crazy.

Flight costs are like anything

Why they keep price so high even when 90% seats are vacant...

I simply couldn't understand.

They are against unit economics or what...

Case 1, Price of Ticket 10k if 90% seats available

Case 2, Price is 11k if 10% seats available

I have annual spends of about 4-5L, and mainly looking for airline benefits. I would slightly prefer if the rewards were airline agnostic and not tied to a single airline, but that's not a hard requirement.
I'm confused between these 2 cards, please suggest which one would be the best for me.

Confused between HDFC Diners Club Black and IDFC Club Vistara

Do we really need this merger?? 🥺 As a Vistara fan not really happy.

I understand from the company's POV since, post merger it will be unified operation under one brand, managing will be better and their are other factors attached to it as well.

I hope the service is up to the mark post merger, personally my experience with Air India not so great so far except few. 

Will miss you Vistara. 💜
