I had recently applied for a UX designer role at Google.
Almost all interview rounds went well. Got some very positive feedback from interviewers as well. However, they did say that my recruiter would share detailed feedback. The HR never reached out after the final interview round. It's been 3 weeks since my last interview round. My application still shows open in the portal. Tried following up with the recruiter multiple times for the feedback but no response.

I'm actually more excited about getting the feedback (especially things I can work on) than the actual job itself. I was interviewed by some of the best folks who worked on Google watch, Gmeet, Google Cloud etc. 

Is this really how Google responds? What's your experience? How do I get hold of this feedback?

Hi Folks,
I applied for L5 MLE at Google Banglore and completed my 3 Coding, 1 ML System Design and Googleyness & Leadership interview before mid-May.
The recruiter communicated the feedback for each round as "GOOD", not revealing the Lean/Strong-Hire counts even after being asked, saying those are for internal only.

For further process, the recruiter communicated that Team Matching could take time as the current openings already have candidates mapped for Team Matching.

I haven't been scheduled for even 1 Team Matching call.
And, on follow-ups, I get the answers "No new updates" or "Nothing so far".

Is this expected, given BLIND is filled with posts reflecting Google is on a hiring spree in Banglore?

Or is this a soft reject?

Or, to a stretch, the hiring season at Google India is over with no new openings? A hiring freeze.

Google's hiring process is so shitty , I have already been through 8 interview rounds and spent a whole year in the process but still yet to get a confirmed outcome result. What is wrong with these people, half of the interview rounds didn't seem justified for the role also. Almost every time the recruiter says this is the last interview then the hiring committee recommends another one supposedly "to fill the gaps ". Seems like an elitist process being followed to sastify their egos.

Can anybody working at Google India, throw some light on what’s happening with Hiring. Seeing some posts related to layoff, people interviewing, people getting ghosted by recruiters after interviews. I’ve seen few people waiting for their interview feedback for few weeks after completing their all interview rounds. Is google going to stop hiring or there are too many candidates applying? Googlers in this community , how long was ur interview process ?  like the timeline between 1st call from recruiter to finally getting offer letter. Just wanted to know how slow the process is . Also , did you have to go through additional rounds of interviews not initially mentioned in the initial call with the recruiter?

I had been reached out by a Google Recruiter around two weeks back and we had a discussion about interview dates, He asked me about my potential dates as per my prep time etc. and we finalized on a date which is after 4 weeks. After my confirmation, I received email invites for those dates from Google. Now that the interview time is near, I feel like I am still not at my best and would do better by preparing more for an extra 2-3 weeks.

Is it fine to request another 2-3 weeks extension? Has anyone ever been in similar situations before with Google? Do they allow extension of the initially locked schedule.
