Would you continue interviewing with a hiring manager who reschedules at the last minute? (less than 10 minutes to the interview)

Context- A recruiter reached out, resume shortlisted and interview scheduled 3 days in advance but still interviewer asks for rescheduling at the very last minute!

Think about it- You put efforts to manage time & ensure availability in the middle of the week but interviewer can’t even manage 30 minutes for an interview?

Hi Folks,

Recently I received offer for Infosys for associate consultant role. But my joining was scheduled in last week of October which was not feasible due to my 90 days notice period. I had discussion with the HR guy and he agreed to reschedule it to mid of December i.e. after my LWD at current company. And I put papers just after that. As my onboarding date was not changed on portal even after a week, I called HR yesterday and he said he is yet to change it. I am now worried about it as till now I dont have any other offer in hand. Do Infosys revoke offers in scenario where we ask for change in joining date?

I had been reached out by a Google Recruiter around two weeks back and we had a discussion about interview dates, He asked me about my potential dates as per my prep time etc. and we finalized on a date which is after 4 weeks. After my confirmation, I received email invites for those dates from Google. Now that the interview time is near, I feel like I am still not at my best and would do better by preparing more for an extra 2-3 weeks.

Is it fine to request another 2-3 weeks extension? Has anyone ever been in similar situations before with Google? Do they allow extension of the initially locked schedule.

What is the cooldown period for google after interview rejection to be considered/apply again

A friend of mine is interning at Google, but got a backlog in one subject which will be cleared only in the next semester. Will Google offer PPO and continue their joining irrespective of the backlog or does it have to be necessarily cleared to obtain a FTE position?

I don't understand the need for HRs to postpone interview feedback for 2 weeks? And once you are reconnected they'll say that sorry I was on leave... Once I join back I'll update you. This can't be a coincidence it's happened atleast 2.

I am currently in a super hectic different tech stack project.  I need 2-3 days or a week to be ready na?

I am currently working in Salesforce as LMTS, it’s only been 2 months. I am enjoying it here. I recently got an interview call from Google for Staff Software Engineer. I have applied for Australian PR and might get it in 6 months.. 
Should I continue in Salesforce for now or should I give Google interview and if I get it then Jump.. 
I don’t want to waste my interview chance and think of it like Il think about it if I clear.. Il only give interview if I decide to join if I get it.

So I just completed my first interview round with a company. And HR gave me a feedback while moving me for the next round. 

During the first round me & the interviewer were coordinating over whatsapp regarding the availability and timing. And in-fact at the end the interviewer told me to reach out to her or the HR in case I have any questions regarding the further processes.

Although i have got a feedback from the HR but should I still reach out to the interviewer for a 2-3 mins call regarding feedback discussion? Will it give a good impression?

Hi everyone, I got my answer in my previous post, I have another query, I have around 2 year of experience, I am going to have a 30 minutes Phone screen, first call with HR, she said it’s going to be just casual talks, what can I expect in that call? If any idea, please share.

Also, I did fair amount of CP and DSA during college days, it’s been a while and I need to brush up my problem solving skills, so if she asks how much do you want before scheduling your first interview, asking for how much time is safe?

L3 interiew with Google

Hi guys,
So I resigned from a unicorn recently because it was hell toxic and I was getting anxiety attacks. So I put in my papers, but the twist in the story is they curtailed my notice period. So now, I am jobless and feeling completely lost. Though interviews are in the pipeline but I didn’t get chance to prepare even during weekends due to excessive workload. Now, I got rejected in multiple companies . Also, I tried rescheduling a few interviews and the HRs got pissed off and said the position has already been filled (which is not true). So, now I am preparing but still feeling like a complete loser and losing confidence.

I'll go first. I got a call for an APM role from one of the companies which did sound pretty sketchy and the recruiter was started bullying me into answering questions, when I asked to know more about the role. The recruiter was extremely unprofessional, and obviously the conversation was nowhere great. They however, did go ahead and sent me the JD and other links, etc to fill in and apply for the job. Mind you, I hadn't applied for the job. 🥲
It just was a pretty sour conversation which had left me in an uncertain situation. Any similar experiences?

Weird recruiter experiences

Asked for my expected CTC. I answered and they weren't happy with it. Said they could only give at 40% increment of current CTC and then asked for my current CTC. After hearing my current CTC they said I shouldn't be earning this much and that I was obviously making it up. Then asked to send over my salary payslip which I refused. Basically the HR started being extremely rude at this point stating that I was being unprofessional. I asked their salary budget for the role which they refused to answer. Then I asked if they were willing to hire me for a lower CTC which she instantly agreed and said she knew I was reasonable and I shouldn't have lied about my CTC. I then said good luck finding a candidate for that amount and hung up.

Is Google India still hiring and is it safe to consider joining Google now?

A year or so ago I went through the hiring loop and was advised to try again after a year because my performance wasn’t at par with the level expected for my experience. Fast forward one year and everyone is laying off staff. 
I’ve now been contacted a couple of times by the same recruiter and am tempted to give it a shot. Would like to hear opinions on whether this is a good idea. 

I’m interviewing at L5, aiming to be leveller up to L6  if possible.

I applied to a big MNC (one among faang) for the roles of SWE and SWE2. Two different HRs from that company sent me links to two different online assessment. The first role is of software engineer one in the city bangalore for some different team whereas the other role is of software engineer 2 in NCR location for some different team. I have cleared both the online assessments and my interviewes are scheduled for both roles, but the HRs are not aware that I am in for another role in that same company. Is this a violation of any kind? Should I inform the HR? I want to appear for both rou ds so that my probability of getting hired increases.
