Despite Karnataka’s substantial contribution of Rs 4.3 lakh crore in tax revenue every year, we receive just about Rs 50,000 crore from the Centre. How about this?

Roads are not bad because of lack of funds. Water logging is the biggest enemy of roads. When water stagnates at a place, the underlying layers cave in, leaving the toplayer hanging. When vehicles pass over, it breaks creating a pothole. The way to ensure longevity is to build and maintain drainage system which can take away all the water away. It’s a country wide problem.
