Roads are not bad because of lack of funds. Water logging is the biggest enemy of roads. When water stagnates at a place, the underlying layers cave in, leaving the toplayer hanging. When vehicles pass over, it breaks creating a pothole. The way to ensure longevity is to build and maintain drainage system which can take away all the water away. It’s a country wide problem.

I have lives in a lot of cities, both tier 1 and tier 2. But nowhere have i seen road quality as pathetic as in Bangalore. Even remote villages in UP have better paved roads. And living in Delhi, I had almost forgotten that potholes still exist. I really want to understand how the silicon valley of India has completely failed at building even an average level road infrastructure? Is it due to corruption or something else that we don’t know of?

New to the city and it makes no sense to me whatsoever. Having lived through all major metros in the country, Bangalore feels like a Tier-2 town covered with Tier-1 wrapping paper.

Probably because they built buildings where lakes provided natural refuge to rain water bro.

I have watched other youtube videos also saying that Banglore has a bad infrastructure, it has the shortage of water, it has very high cost of living etc.
While I find that for your IT career growth, Banglore is the best place. You have lots of opportunities here. Banglore has more educated people as compared to other IT HUb cities like Gurgaon or Noida (I live in Gurgaon right now). 
It's true that Banglore has bad traffic situation but are the youtubers exaggerating this or is this really true?
Is it true that Banglore has a bad infrastructure as compared to other cities of India?
While when I went to Banglore, I found it better than the other cities.

According to the EASE OF LIVING INDEX: Banglore is the most livable city in India but I have watched some videos from youtubers continously saying that Banglore has destroyed.

A relative and a few friends moved recently and only have very good things to say. But wanted to get a balanced view. What are the pros and cons of moving there for work? My current understanding: 

Pros
-Tax free income 
-Cosmopolitan environment 
-Hopefully better work life balance

Cons
-Expensive overall (Rent, Food)
-Harsh weather 
-No easy path to citizenship

I was at a friends place and it suddenly started raining heavily. I had to reach my girlfriends place ASAP. She was already very angry that I was not spending enough time with her. The problem was that I was not getting any auto on Uber or Rapido.

I stopped an auto and asked it for a ride. He quoted Rs 800 for a 4km ride. I was like, "Are you crazy?" 
I somehow negotiated it down to Rs. 500. But it made me wonder why is this city like this.

Like everyone is trying to scam you. Every one is a grifter, from your landlord to auto wallahs to the cops.

Have you faced such things in this city?

Cars are a terrible way of transporting people, they take up a lot of space and slow down traffic movement. SF has the best and widest freeways but has the worst traffic. Being a middle income nation about to invest in infra, we have to make a choice if we want to go the American way? Or can we come up with an Indian solution.

After a decade of flyover construction, it might be too late. We will end up with even larger city with 4X the road length and much worse traffic.

I believe in the European approach of paid entry for cars in Central Business District to discourage car ridership and funding Public Transport.

We also have UPI, we too book cabs, we too have famous food places and better in most cases. We face traffic too, it rains in other parts of India too. You all need to calm down
