Dubai vs Bangalore

Hey, has anyone moved to Dubai for work. A relative and a few friends moved recently and only have very good things to say. But wanted to get a balanced view. What are the pros and cons of moving there for work? My current understanding:

Pros -Tax free income -Cosmopolitan environment -Hopefully better work life balance

Cons -Expensive overall (Rent, Food) -Harsh weather -No easy path to citizenship

You can speak in your own language in public and no one will abuse you in Dubai. They have monarchy yet it much closer to Democracy as compared to Bangalore

Worked with a few top Dubai companies and stayed there for on-site projects (couple of monthlong stays). I felt the locals at work treat Indians as second class citizens. I spoke with some Indian employees in these companies who became friends and they said that the locals are 1st class, American/Europeans are 2nd class, Indians are 3rd class and other south asians/Philippinos are 4th class.

Agreed. But that's the case everywhere. You'd be a secondary citizen in every part of the world except India.

The biggest pro is security. It's one of the safest places in the world.

Never worked from Blore. Worked in Jaipur, Mumbai, Noida. Total work experience: 7.5 I’m working in Dubai since ~2 years.
Salary: Living alone with salary ~25kAED Accommodation: 3.5k-5k AED in JBR Weather: if you’re from north India, summer is same. Anyway, AC everywhere and mostly things are in door or have AC. Nov-April is good weather. Temp 14-27c.
Visa: unless you have a job you have visa. If you got salary >30k AED/month, you can apply for 10 year gold visa and this can be extended

I was in same dilemma 2 years back, I’m glad I moved here. Given a chance to live in UAE vs USA, I’d choose UAE

I have ample of things to do after work hours. I started running, hitting gym, going for tennis. Live nearby beaches/waterfront so pretty great quality of life.

Choose Dubai.

And why?
To become 3rd class citizens?
To miss family and frnds? To start everything from scratch? To waste your weekends on phone with family and housekeeping tasks?

If non of those are your problem and money is everything..then move dbx.
