Shift to Dubai for better life
Im having 9yrs of experience as a web developer in Pune and I just went for 1w trip to Dubai. Its Outstanding! Swear by God! Planning to seek out a job there. Will it be the best decision considering I'm having a stable job at Infosys. I want to settle and have a family there and live a life of very high standards. India feels like shit Sharks your advice will mean a lot!
I'm choosing to ignore your last statement about India unlike other triggered people in the comments and answering the actual question.
Reasons to move:
1) 0 tax
2) In general higher paying jobs but also higher cost of living (You need to evaluate this basis the offer you get compare it with your current salary after PPP)
3) Better quality of life (Road safety, Infra)
4) Opens more easier avenues to travel around Europe
Reasons to stay
1) Parents ( Now you'd say I plan to visit or come back but no one I know till today has come back despite having crores of savings.
2) Friends and social circle established here over the years
3) Few rules in Dubai are stricter than that of India's (You have to figure out these differences and if they work for you)
To me there seems to more upside than there is downside in moving to Dubai however both my spouse and I decided to never shift out of India for our parents.

No doubt Dubai's infra and other amenities is world-class and absolutely no harm in seeking better opportunities.
But calling the country where you lived your life 'sh**', is being ungrateful and disrespectful.
No doubt India has its flaws and it definitely is not a perfect country.
It's okay to seek out better opportunities and move to location that will make you happy and provide a better life to your family.
But always remember, when things go haywire, it is this 'sh**' India that will come to your rescue.
Kuwait, Ukraine, Yemen, examples are aplenty.

Hilarious
Houthis are rebels from Yemen if am not wrong ..and Dubai is no where close to supporting them .. irrespective of them being Arabs .
Dubai just worships money and white folks
Infact they despise those people
Saudi, Yemen, UAE, Iran are all involved in the conflict in Yemen. Wait for entire Middle East to burn
I went there last year and god damn it’s so attractive. A high paying job in Dubai would be amazing really.
Sorry for my comments on India. Im taking it back. But still I feel it has got a lot of ground to cover.

To err is human. Grapevine don't have a feature to edit the post ? Is it not possible to edit and remove the last before line of your post ?
Jai Hind.
People like this take full advantage of the Indian Government schemes and benefits and then bitch them. Anti-nationals like this should be tackled by the government bring down to knee and debar them from India.

I was considering moving to Dubai just a couple of months ago for works.
Reasons I considered:
- No income tax
- Better infrastructure and lifestyle
- New country, new experiences
- Good network
- close to India, can travel back and forth easily
Why I didn’t go with it:
- Cost of living is very high. What I’m saving on taxes, I’ll end up spending on rent, utilities, etc. To have the same lifestyle I have in India, I’ll be spending about 2 lakhs a month there and I’m actually very frugal on my day to day expenses.
- Plenty of Indians but spent a month there and still felt out of place

5 years of experience, growth in a startup with 40 employees with 13 of them in Dubai.
Contradicting to others ,i agree every bit of yours including the final sentence. There are lot of such people shifting like that but pls do more research on cost of living and packages for your profile there

Go wherever you get the most money for - work till FIRE there . India is mostly good for top echelons of corporate, govt and neta log
No job is a stable until you are working in government job.Stop living in delusion.
Dubai >>> India due to no income tax
Eh, my coworkers have been soliciting me to move to Dubai for ages but I'm not budging 😂😂
Good for you, honestly, but just know moving abroad isn't all that it's cranked up to be. Soft things like the feeling of never belonging, cultural shock, etc are very real
Good luck finding opportunities in Dubai. Once you get there, there are literally very opportunities to switch. Also when you switch forget 30-40-50% hikes, max you can get is 10-15%.
Also, it’s expensive for family to live there. You can buy a house there. You can’t apply for their citizenship later. Makes no sense to shift to Dubai. Go for 2-3 years max and then come back or move to Europe
Dubai is a soulless city and will rip you apart in day to day expenses. Cost of living is off the roofs that you have to stay in sharjah and travel everyday to dubai. Taking a car or a license is ridiculous and the fines will make you cry.
Going to Dubai for work and earning is fine, but why blame India for your own failure to create something big in India? Did anyone stop you from earning high standards of life in our country? Remember, atieast you can blame here and no will one say much, but this same habit of blaming will get you arrested in Dubai. Better change habits first before thinking abroad, the world is very different out there and freedom like India is only a dream abroad, especially in Middle East.
Bro you work at Infosys, try to switch to high paying companies and you'll realise what India can actually offer. I too have relatively low paying job. Trying my best to do something.
Dubai is a good choice if you are in web3 sector or in companies that are riding the AI hype wave in UAE(although you'll find more such companies in Sharjah). Highly doubt you'll last there on Infosys money
