YT/Insta Influencer Commercials

Have had a very difficult time negotiating with influencers on collab commercials. The rates quoted are unreal! Is there any math/logic to this? Please share your experience and tips/tricks Not looking at top tier Tanmay Bhat types. Mid level YT influencers or podcast hosts Also, does direct communication with them work better or are there trusted agencies that y’all used?

It's usually a function of what the influencers perceive as their value. A lot of them may not even be ready to share their metrics. Try to onboard an agency who can help negotiate on your behalf

Tbh, the idea is to know how do they price themselves. Is it on views, subs, engagement, tg or a mix? Don’t want the discussion to be budget led Not sure if this makes sense :(

Always negotiate to 60% of what they quote, if it feels high That’s been my experience dealing with most people on LinkedIn/IG Talk to at least 10-15 influencers over time to know good benchmarks

2 influencers with similar subs, but one with 0.5x avg views is asking for 2x more money. 🤯

Youtube Influencer eval: (Beyond subscriber count) 1) Usually the mid tier influencers will commit to a "views" number. You wouldn't want to pay more than 1 rupee for a view. (Could vary for a niche TG influencer-still don't go beyond 2.5) 3) If they won't commit, just take the avg view count of their last 10-15 videos and see if the CPV is under control as per the cost quoted to you. 4) Their YT analytics will give the demo and geo penetration, ask for that. Make sure that aligns with your TG & market prioritisation 5) Ask for the retention rate of an avg video of the influencer. Usually there is a massive drop after Q2. Plan your integration accordingly. For IG, check for avg engagement rates as well. If influencer marketing works for your brand and it would be a recurring investment, better to get an agency involved.

Instead of a well known influencer choose a influencer who collabs with well known ppls based on your target audience and ask him to post promotional video after he posts the collab video with well known influencer

I think YouTube is paying folks like Aditya Kacchve and Ankur Warikoo to throw their ads around

More and more people are buying Premium to stop seeing their ads. Ankur Warikoo is the only guy who made more money talking about his startup than the startup itself. Adtiya Kacchve tells folks that he can upskill them, but still couldn’t upskill himself to even make decently looking ads. TikTok videos look better than his ads. Why brands spend too much on topline ?

I have doing a lot research on these D2C brands , these brands are burning VC cash in ads and influncer marketing. And what just for topline !! When will the focus or plan to focus on bottomline !! Are these guys playing for valuation game or they really want to build profitable business out of it ?? Please correct me if i m wrong , also paying influncers butt load money wothout knowing the ROI , i think influncer marketing is a bubble which is yet to burst and the next phase is influencer led sales !!!
