We should tax billionaires at like 50-70% above a certain threshold. But we should use that money to build infra and important facilities and not give it as freebies to the poor.

The taxation policy in India is made to crush and juice the Middle Class families as much as possible. Almost all the taxpayers don't realise that the govt. is accountable for the taxes they collect and should be questioning the govt. for transparency in where the tax was used and how it was used ! I respectfully disagree! Well, buddy, money is never spent or littered when such extravagant events happen. It is actually transferred from one pocket to another. Many people who are part of this event organisation get paid. Starting from key players to cleaning staff. This is a good thing to look at this way. They never squandered money. Also giving employment to earn living is more prosperous than giving money to poor proclaiming they are poor and others are rich. So please think the other way of money transition.
