The Audacity

I spoke to my boss, no increment this year is not what I expected starting off. Less money, atleast put me in a role that is interesting. Current role is monotonous and tiring.

Boss: No money, no role change. So what are your plans now? (Legit in this tone)

Cut to two months later, I hand in my resignation

Boss: what happened?!!

Literally me. This was the same thing that happened to me around Jan. They were shook when I handed my papers.

The audacity of that bitch HR was ," You could have just pleaded us to change the project. We are already shorthanded atm"

Unpopular opinion -

A high majority of folks feeling a very high sense of entitlement.

Not judging on Right/wrong/good/bad. It is what it is.

It is not entitlement. It is deserving.

Entitlement would have been when I would throw the resignation at their faces and leave without serving notice period.

I tried to find the solution here, why things weren't working for me. As humans we can have the basic respect of allowing that to others.

Oh. You took it the other way.

The boss/HR feel “entitled” to have you in their team, without any 2nd thoughts to what you might want/are going through.
