Bangalore is an over-rated city

"Macha why do you like Bangalore? Weather bro."

These tech bros can't stand normal weather, but will go through shitty infra, traffic, hooliganism, and what not for slightly better weather.

No city is perfect in anyway. There's PROs and CONs (read good and bad) to each and every city, the people, as well as to those who're coming from other places to live there

Bangalore/Bengaluru is not an over-rated city. Period.

Wants reasons?

I'll give you not 1 but 3:

  1. Highest Paying City

Whether you are a techie, marketer, or any other white collar professional, Bengaluru companies pay way more than any other city, including Hyderabad, Gurugram, and Pune.

  1. More Than Weather, Kannadiga People Are Way Nicer

If not for the hospitable nature of Kannadigas, Bengaluru wouldn't be what it is today.

Stray incident aside, if you think rationally, Kannadigas are amongst the best people in this country.

In Bengaluru, lots of people from India's North-East live freely without worrying about racism or eve-teasing. All thanks to hospitable people of Karnataka.

  1. Quality Private Institutions

Schools, Colleges, and Hospitals. Bengaluru is home to finest of these institutions.

I can write on and on about what makes Bengaluru a fabulous city, but these 3 things should give you some idea.

Kannadigas are hospitable? 😂😂😂

Nice joke bruh, anyone who lives in blr a few years can see just how "hospitable" they really are.

Maybe you have a nice circle, good for you. But kannadigas aren't nice and they wouldn't destroy public property if they were.

Agreed. Bangalore is the worst city right now.

No transportation, Heavy Traffic, Racist people.

I'd prefer Mumbai anyday over Bangalore

I like living in Bangalore because my gf and I can stay together. Not a fan of the were ether coz it's too cold for me during winters.

Most of my friends (college buddies) live in Bangalore, not because they work from office over here but because they've already been from here.

More things to do in Bangalore compared to my native (idk about other cities), again coming from a person who doesn't drink, smoke or party.

So in short, it's not the weather alone buddy.

I don’t like Bengaluru because I don’t see growth opportunities here. It’s great if you wanna climb the corporate ladder. The city lacks warmth and a feeling of community. Community leads to business opportunities. So, you can just be a corporate slave here unless you have a shit load of money or be a startup bro.
There’s no place to rewind and relax, only noisy bars, cafés and clubs.

I would like to go for a long drive on the weekends but such a drive will just boil my blood in blr because of the traffic and lack of natural beauty.

I want to live in a home not an apartment. Seems Impossible in BLR

I want to go out but I avoid it because the traffic makes me crazy.

Hope to move to a Tier 2 city asap.

Visit the Art of Living International center, Kanakapura Road via the Silk institute metro 🥲. Peace.

If Delhi and ncr are so awesome why are people heading to blore in hordes? I can safely say blore attract more tech crowd than them. So all of them are wrong.

Bombay vs Bangalore

Bombay’s the financial capital of India and Bangalore’s the Silicon Valley of India. Which one would you prefer and why? Would your opinion change w.r.t age (eg. 20s are better in Mumbai vs 30s are better in Bangalore?

Any thoughts?

Why do companies still prefer Bangalore?

Bangalore has the following problems:

  1. Poor infrastructure
  2. Huge rent with pathetic interiors (even in posh societies)
  3. Water issues
  4. Local people issues
  5. Traffic

So why do companies still prefer Bangalore and why don't they...
