Bangalore startup folks - need help!

We are a digital marketing agency focused on helping startups (funded). We are currently remote with the team spread across the country.

I'm contemplating moving base to Bangalore - a lot of folks say that Bangalore is the place to be for my business.

Need some real advice, would me being physically present in Bangalore help my business?

Do startups prefer Bangalore based agencies vs other city/remote agencies?

Those who are telling you to shift to Bangalore, have they run a marketing agency themselves there?

If no, ignore them. Bangalore is expensive, doesn't make sense to shift if you are doing well enough remotely.

Startup networking events are mostly cringe af too. If you still think there's merit then you/your sales ppl can shift alone but calling others doesn't make sense.

True, none of them run an agency or any business for that matter 😅

I'm planning to shift for myself only, the team will remain remote - many benefits for us in staying remote.

I'm thinking of doing 2 weeks/month in BLR for the next 2 months and see if it makes a difference .

Thanks all for the comments 🙂

While you're at it, also go for some time in Hyderabad if possible.

Travel when you want to but don’t move. You’ll save more money i

I did a cost benefit analysis of this too!

Coming out very close even if i consider staying in a hotel 2 weeks of a month in BLR, hence the dilemma.

Thanks for the suggestion 🙏

I'm not sure a lot of startups are going to survive the funding crunch. Try to grow your venture from where you are and if you feel truly like you are missing out on something by not being in Bangalore only then consider moving.

Moving to Bangalore with the entire team wouldn’t be a wise decision in the current market. Try shuttling personally for couple of weeks and explore opportunities.
