How did you deal with depression ?

Hi guys, I am working at an MNC as a front end developer. I am going to complete 4 years soon here which is no less than a nightmare. I should have switched so long ago but I am still stuck here. And it's wfh, so I have been feeling so depressed lately having no professional life. I gave some interviews last year but couldn't clear and have been feeling demotivated since then. Please help!!

I woke up with a notification that started with “Hope you had a great weekend. Unfortunately…” I didn’t have the courage to open the entire mail. I knew what it was. A little context here, i have been unemployed for the last 5 months. I got laid off from my first job with not even an year of work experience. We all know how bad the market condition is, and how harsh it is for freshers. Me being the optimistic person that i am, ignored all these setbacks and began my hunt for my next dream job. With the help of my friends, I started preparing for interviews. I was lucky enough to get shortlisted for few good companies. But somehow or the other things always went south and i ended up without an offer. I made sure to not get disheartened and keep trying my best with a positive attitude. And then i interviewed with this one company, that perfectly aligned with me. All my interviews went well and made it till the final round. Now it was a call from the leadership. I strongly believed that this is my shot. After months of feeling stuck, I thought this is going to be my moment of relief. Even though this journey was hard i made sure to enjoy every bit of it. But now here i am with another rejection mail. I am now questioning my entire belief system. And not sure what to do next. Any advice/suggestions are welcome :)

Life has become so dry and meaningless nowadays. Struggle connects us on some level. I’d love to hear your stories of struggle and how you overcame it. Here’s my story. I studied B.E for 7 years because of backlogs. Every year was a new batch, no friends. Extreme depression, humiliation everywhere. Isolated myself from an extremely judgmental society. Confidence had no meaning in my life. Somehow struggled and cleared all the backlogs. Studied programming and web design. Started working for free. After 1 year, first salary was 2k per month. Then 18k. Then 30k. I always felt dumb because of the backlogs. Want to rectify it. So went to the US with the only admit I got. Studied my ass off. GPA 3.95. But I was broke again. Cried my eyes out multiple times because I had no money for food. Couldn’t tell this to parents. Found a job later after many many applications. Happiest moment of achievement was when I bought my first 43 inch LED TV. With my own money. Current pay: over 2L / mo.

I have been recently diagnosed with mixed anxiety and mild depression by a psychiatrist and was prescribed medication. Also asked to exercise everyday and pursue my hobby of reading. Any other tips on how to handle depression better while I am on medication?

I am 21 years old. I have good offers (20lac+) from good companies, but I am not happy. I always feel that something is missing in life, I don't know what and why I feel so. I tried to get in a relationship, but whenever I express this feeling, things get bad between both of us. I really want to love and get loved. I have been living my life alone for about 3 years now. I want to make friends, and I want to be in a relationship, but the last 3 years have not been nice to me because of which I don't like going out and having fun. I was in a depression and a workaholic nerd for the past years and feel that now I have got wired in such a way which is not letting me have fun and enjoy life. I find myself lonely. Whenever I don't have anything to work on, I get anxious, and I get this question, what am I doing with life. Maybe I am feeling lonely while writing this post and may sound little gone case. Open to your suggestions, do share your stories if you have been through this phase. Is it normal to feel like this?

Hey All, I am writing this to express how I am feeling since last 1 year now. This post will be a bit lengthy but I would be grateful if anyone could help me even a bit. I moved into a new company 1year back and due to bad work environment I left. I took a months break and joined a new company now. I have a total 5 years of work experience, my salary is extremely good. ( I don’t worry about this at all for now) My problem is I don’t know what to do in my life. I guess I have quarter life crisis. Earlier I wanted to do music and act , I took professional classes and left because I felt bored idk why. I felt like I need someone to guide me and handhold me since I know no one in this industry. Talking about my job I have always moved into roles I loved every bit of work and I m very sincere and hardworking. I stopped working out , I stopped cycling, I stopped painting. I stopped liking everything literally. Idk how to get back at things. I feel I am gonna die anyway why I need to do this , or that or etc etc. I even took counselling but it did not seem yo help me. Idk what to do. Please share your experiences too and what I need to do.
