Career Advise Required

I am currently working in Deloitte USI. Here I need to work for 13-14 hours everyday minimum. I have received an offer from EY around 35% hike. I’ve heard that the work culture of EY is even worse. But anyhow if I have to work for 13-14 hours a day, the why not for a better salary? Can you all please advise?

I am from EY. And i would say accept the EY offer to either get a counter at deloitte, or to look for an offer from a firm that offers better WLB.

So joining EY isn’t an option?

Should be the last one. Depending on what project you are, the work load could either be a lot or not much. Depending on what your priority is make a choice wlb vs money

Going from Deloitte to EY is like jumping from dumpster fire to volcano

Go ahead with the EY offer.

And try to get a better offer before you join them if possible so that you can have both a decent pay and decent WLB.

I would highly encourage you to take EY Offer as even Deloitte is not giving a decent hike these days and I connected with 16 people from Deloitte from which 12 of them got single digit hikes. Even work culture is becoming worse day by day.

I will say stay with Deloitte if possible and try to get counter offer in Deloitte itself based on EY offer. Deloitte is Much bigger than EY plus recent years EY has not given decent hikes or bonus.
