I am betting big on investing in Hang Seng Tech ETF (Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, JD etc) at this price.... Very undervalued and it will be China's weapon against USA in race for AGI

I’m nobiie tbh. But from what I’ve heard, I’ve been told to keep my puny little amount as of now, because of election people unneccessarily pumping the amount in market or something. And do it after election? Untill then only observe? What is the logic behind this?

It took 250 pts fall on Nifty for salt to raise this koschan again on GV😂 I am adding quality names to my folio. Added some names on the pvt bank side, for me valuation comfort is most imp. Adding paints businesses as crude reductions will take margins in healthy category. Placed few orders on RIL as Jio ARPUs are expanding, giving boost to bottom line. Overall, my hypothesis is rate cuts will start happening in June/July time frame and FIIs will return to EMs with fresh liquidity. Keeping dry powder to add MF NAVs on steep fall days. I’ve some MF investment goals for 2024 and let that compound for some time. An experiment to see if time investment in direct equities is worth it or not. Avoiding falling knives and risky bets as of now.

For how long you want to invest? 10 year: I would invest in Petrol Pumps. 5 year: I would invest in Banks which give shorter loans or are EMI enabler.

If you're heavy on equity already, perhaps diversify into hybrid/debt/gold as well?

Stopped all SIPs, rejigged the portfolio- 65% large cap rest mid and small cap (direct equities: 75% large cap) Highest allocation- Banks (value), Infra (growth) and Chemicals (value) Recurring deposit started for 10k a month so get around 50-60k in June before the rate cut Have bought around 3L of Adani stocks to be sold post elections No new cash addition, just moving the portfolio around (increasingly becoming difficult due to size of portfolio)

I would advise investing in Mutual Fund/SIP. You will have 3 years/5 years/ 7 years lock-in period. Since you have 1L, Start a SIP of 3K per month. 3*12 = 36K per year. The remaining amount, make a FD for one year. Repeat the same in 2nd year. You can get interest from FD as well as SIP.

Wait it out @salt . If you wanna get into trading then you have numerous opportunities, but if you wanna invest wait it out for sometime. Being on Cash is also a position in itself.

Wont recommend opening new positions, 23k nifty is what i am eyeing as top. The election is already priced in, all PSUs are overvalued ATM.
