Developers with 15+ work experience

I was curious, that what will happen to the people who are right now working in growth, program managers, or in fact as business analysts, SDEs after 15 years. I am 25 Years old right now, and all I can see is people aged between 21-30 in startups. 30-35 year old people are less than 5% of the workforce. After 10 years, all my age group people will be 35, and all the roles I see at that age, are too scarce. Will it be too difficult to switch jobs then, or career, hikes will kinda stagnate there? Want to know from other experienced people that where does the crowd go?

I received my offer letter two days ago, and i was assigned to quality assurance spc role. However, I'm not really interested in testing and my HR isn't replying when i asked for a role switch. My question is there any alternative way to switch to a developer role? If so, I'd really like to view your opinions on it and i would also like to know what type of skills i should learn in that meantime. Thank you.

I have been working in this startup for around 1.5 years now, and soon I am going to be the only developer here, as the other 2 devs are going to leave soon. The company is now calling me to Bangalore. I am thinking as there will be no devs my growth will be very less, as this is my first organisation after graduation. But looking at the market situation it feels like I should just continue with the current org. I am not sure what to do. YoE; 1.5 year CTC: 9 LPA Saving: 1LPA

I am curious to understand how the future looks like. For now, I think we have a clear aim. Most might not want to startup as they are well satisfied with solving other's problems. But come to think of it, I have not seen much ppl above 50 years of age in the IT industry. With 90's and 80's generation slowly inching towards that phase, how do you guys think it will shape up? straight question : do we have a chance?

They say your job in IT is gone once experience reaches 14,15 years. So what are you doing or going to do A. If have crossed that limit B. If you are still working and will reach the limit

Hello, all i have a gap of 6 months, will it affect me to find jobs as i carry 1.5 year of experience causing me a lot of diffculties while getting shortlisted ? What should i do , feeling stressed ? I need your advice and if there is any opportunity for me i am open up for that, my tech tack is frontend development with using react, redux, vue js.

I have 7 years of experience in IT with Mobile technology especially iOS. But now I can see there is not a big, long run and easy adaptive market in future to stick with technology. People with 3-4 years of experience can do the same what I am doing now. Although I have Team build and project management skills also but those are another level of headache. I have some experience with back end Tecnologies also and I love technical work and problem solving things. So I want to know want to know what I need to start learning next which is in high demand and high in pay and what are the various steps to learn those things. Some suggest AI, ML things some suggest Cloud Computing etc but nobody know what’s it way to grow with it. So I need your help with some brief short guidance for what I need to learn next. I am open for It.

Do you think you will still be doing deep technical work in your team after you turn 40 year old ? Have you ever seen a 40 year old coder ? Do you think you can become a manager and mange a team after you turn 35 ? Do you possess managerial skill ? Currently lots of layoffs are happening around you. Your job can be replaced by A.I in future. If you get laid off, do you have any other skills to make it as a source of income ? Will you encourage your child to get into IT industry (software engineering) or some other field where A.I interference is not accepted ?

Hii, I'm a front-end developer having around 3 years of work experience. I got laid-off in 2023 just after 1.8years in an organisation. Then I joined another company and got laid off in 6 months. Now I have an offer from early stage startup but I'm too scared to accept it because of my experience. But on the other hand I don't have any offer as well. Will it look bad on my resume. I don't know... I've started thinking that something is wrong with me otherwise what is the chances of getting laid off twice within same year. First I loose my peace of mind because of work pressure and then I loose my work... pretty f**cked up situation. I have never been this unde confident. What do you think shall I take the offer from startup again or wait few more months or more to get into good mnc??
