Early release

I'm working as a BA in my current org. I'm on bench for more than 30 days and I have dropped my resignation but the HR is not approving my early release. I have an offer in hand and I need to join in another 15 days. In even agreed for notice period buyout but still that HR isn't allowing.

It's really upsetting when we do not have any dependencies why do the HR ask to serve the complete notice period? Infact it is a loss for them to keep Billing me in bench.

Please advice what can be done here in my situation

Yes I got released and switched to the new org. I wrote an email to VP (to whom the recruiter was reporting to). I explained my situation, then she agreed and gave early release. But I had to pay for Notice period buyout.

Speak to the org which you have offer for extension in DOJ, they might agree.

Not sure about your notice period but you can try to convince the company you are going to join about your situation.

In parallel you can do the following:

  1. Discuss it with your previous reporting managers or the bench manager

  2. You should keep looking for other offers so that you are in the good spot instead of tbe tough spot in the worst case scenario (that is the current company not releasing you early and the next one is unable to wait to complete the full notice period)
