I majorly work with clients for long term so I don’t have to look out for new clients every now and then. I didn’t leave my full time job, it’s still there. I took a break of 4-5 months but got so bored that just for the company I got into job.

In Upwork it took me 4 years but direct clients and Upwork combined I make this in 1 year
i have been trying to find work on upwork. But no luck so far. I do growth for a US big tech and have 5 years of experience in performance marketing. But whichever project i bid on upwork i don’t see anything.

How do you manage taxes, is it like you have to pay 18% GST every month and then Income tax as per slab on top of that?

18% gst is only for Indian clients which is just handful and I charge them the 18%.
For others it’s just the profits are added to my slab and then I have to pay taxes.
Not that you asked but last year i paid 30L in taxes :)
