Feedback on culture at Ola Electric
I got an offer from Ola Electric for a Senior Engineering role in Backend dev. Pay is good and team looks interesting too. But I am very apprehensive about their culture. Their glassdoor reviews are horrible and the recent interview in YS Bhavish gave was cringe max. I am a hard working guy, will do solid 8-10hrs 5 days a week. But it looks like that won’t be enough. One might be made to work late nights and weekends routinely from what I heard. And Bhavish saying he doesn’t believe in weekends has made me a lot more anxious.
My current company is going through financial troubles. I will definitely have to move. I will get some other role though if I wait for a few weeks.
Could someone working at Ola or with recent experience advise me here.

Ola is shit. Period.

Please don’t join. They will make you work day and night, weekends, holidays they will call you back from a relatives death or a wedding to do some shit, everything is always an emergency, the people at the top survived cause they’re asslickers and the good talent leaves cause they’re mistreated so badly your own life the life of your loved ones everything comes under strain at ola

Congratulations on getting an offer to work in a senior engineering role at Ola Electric. According to many reviews, Ola Electric work culture doesn’t seem to be very promising. With a 2.9 rating on Glassdoor, it might not be a good decision to switch to the company. However, the reviews differ from one job role to another. If you are hired by the Senior Engineering team, you may not have a bad experience. As for working on weekends, ask the recruiting manager whether it happens frequently or in some cases. Also, know whether you can get compensation for working on weekends or not.

Ola ESOPs offer
Can someone from Ola help understand the internal policy on ESOPs offering? A friend is being offered a mid leadership role as a PM but with miniscule ESOPs (12L over 4 years 😅)

Ola Electric, How bad is it?
Asking so that I can say a hard no with conviction to them. Currently offered a product leader role but have heard horror stories from peers and seniors.
