Feeling nothing after a good appraisal

I got my first salary after getting my cash CTC increased from 22 to 29LPA I thought I’d be happy but I just checked my bank account and closed it. Felt nothing. No differential feeling / experience for even a second YOE: 5 Earlier when my salary moved from 30k to 50k month I used to get the happiness hit for a week but now it’s “meh” even though the difference is much higher. Anyone else rocking the same boat?

Money has limits . Sooner you realise better it is.

^this. Money is a means to an end, not the end goal itself. Better put it to good use if you want to derive meaning and happiness from it.

Beyond 35-40 LPA , any jump less than 15 LPA doesn't even hit coz taxes

It happened to me at 29 LPA only 🥲

Pass on the difference of salary you are getting into our bucket. You anyways won’t feel anything but we don’t mind some extra difference as we got nothing in appraisal 😉

Phonepe does give good appraisals i have heard and work life balance is good too. You get home after 9 hrs.

Not sure of truth though

Same happened to me. I was damn excited when i went from 4lpa to 8lpa & when went from 12lpa to 25 lpa.
Later i didn't feel any happiness when it went to 30 Lpa and then to 44 Lpa and then to 54 Lpa.

Money after a limit has lesser(depreciating) meaning in life.

Invest and forget (with caution)

But still has a crucial role to play in life...depending on your lifestyle changes(spending habits and its experience)

Yup, unless the jump is quite high there is no good feeling now. Like if it jumps from 1Lpm to 1.5Lpm(50% increment) then it might feel good.

Money can't buy happiness, hence proved.

No tax to 30% tax slab...same feeling

12000/m used to give more fun than 2lac/month

Mindset of spending also reduces with time... especially if u have seen enough financial crunch in ur family

Yeah bro. Earlier at 30k per month, all the money was worth it. You had to save for months at a stretch to afford a trip but now things don’t hit the same

Congratulations, you've levelled up in life. Money is no longer an issue for you. Now, clearing the next level is gonna be a bit tricky because you don't even know the how's and what's of it yet. So the first thing to do now is to find out the goal of this level and then pursue it.
Be prepared for a lot of existentialism in the initial phases of this level, also don't forget to take a chill pill every now and then but don't get too complacent. It's gonna be fun.

Use that extra bit of your money as an enabler for your new goal.
