While hiring, do you really care about a candidate’s frequent job switch or just skill set?
If frequent job switch does matter then how frequent? Every 6 months is frequent or every 1 year is frequent?
What other criteria do you also see?
I come from a non-tech background and have ~4.5 years of work-ex across banking, consulting and business development (2.5 years, 7 months, and 1.5 years respectively). Last month, I switched to a CoS role in a startup but not really loving it so far. How long do I have to stay here so it doesn’t reflect poorly on my CV?
During 2021 they didn't care if you had 2 months or 2 decades. They just wanted you and wanted you fast. Abhi filhal peeps want long staying Fevicolias. Since it's just been 2 months at this new place - don't show it on the CV. Better that way.
I don’t have a job yet though, and might be a bit before I do. Just wanted insight on how long I should stick it out
Really depends on you brah. Is your financial situation comfy, it earns you more time. Are you willing to go weeks without interviews, chipping away? Took me 3 months, refused 3-6 offers at various stages because they didn't feel right. Most of them were shit, but a few weren't so it was kinda scary saying no.
Financial situation is okay but I have home loan EMIs, so definitely can’t sit at home
Got it, thanks for the advice. I’d then assume that something like a 6 month stint would look bad.

I wish to know the pros/cons of frequently switching jobs. I am in a dilemma, there are posts here and there that say don't switch frequently and then there are posts that nobody cares about frequent job switches, as you are a dev.
