Helicopter parents of Bangalore absolutely do not care about their children but themselves

Been living in Bangalore for the past 2+ years now and one thing I've noticed is how deeply involved they are in their children's day to day activities, and at the same time absolutely detached from them. The kids have everything that they ask for, but the parents in return want them to excel in multiple aspects such as academics, extra curriculars or sports, not for the benefit of their children but to flaunt it among colleagues, residents and social media. They can go to any extent to make sure nothing messes up their kids from performing their optimum at any field, may it be at the expense of other fellow community folks. This has brought a generation of kids growing up with everything they ask for, but no one to guide them and to teach them right or wrong and most importantly the value of money, empathy, selflessness and living as a community. This may be a problem with a lot of other cities and parents in general but I can observe this trend extremely well in Bangalore.

Constant supervision, hovering over their heads (hence helicopter)
Say micromanagement , no personal space

This has always been the case .. atleast they're guiding & contributing to their kid's achievement..
Else it was just parents screaming on their kids as if it'd magically make them progress đź‘€

Nah man parents have found better non violent ways to torture their kids such as sending them for coaching since class 6. Every behaviour of the parents reeks of being selfish, arrogant and self centred which is absorbed by the kids. They want their kids to be involved in everything but they do not understand the toll it takes on their kids. Their kids are seen as products that they are upgrading (?) As for the previous generation parents, I absolutely condemn any kind of physical forms of punishment but I still feel their intentions were to make us realise the importance of their point of view.

Leave about flaunting, parents among their society have a dick measuring contest of " Aapka beta/beti kya kar rha hai ? Kitna package hai ? Mera beta/beti Google me hai 35 LPA kamati hai " . No parent likes to be left behind in FOMO and it hurts their ego.

Einstein jaise bachche sabko chahiye but uska related mindset koi ni dena chahta hai .

Trust me budfy, other parents literally subtly mock at the child's parents for not comparing.

All boils down to a bloody society which ONLY AND ONLY respects Top 1% Kids, Top 1% Jobs, Top 1% Girls & Boys. Top 1% Achievements.

This is not helicopter parenting. But desperation among the parents that their kids might end up losing in life.

Irresponsible reservation has led people to go cut throat on everything. Am sure almost everyone will agree that the odds of living a decent life for a poor IiT/IIM guy is much higher than a decently talented guy from T2/T3 college. We are a country where a single exam result will decide between generational wealth and poverty.
