@CKing For better results, you should ask better questions to yourself and find out your answers.
It is tough to be motivated 24/7, 365 days, but it is not impossible. Few things that worked for me.
- Delete all distractions immediately – I deleted all applications from my phone, except the basic ones. I was anxious initially, what if I miss that update on IG, or check my phone for new notifications, etc. but trust me nothing happened, and I got a lot of free time. My screen time became ~2 hours average/ week.
You can install Amazon/ Swiggy whenever you feel like ordering something and you can uninstall it immediately after.
- Quit bad habits– I used to smoke a lot, 11 years ago one night at 2:30 AM my smokes got over and I went really mad and when I retrospect, I understood that I had finished 2 packs already. On that very night, I decided that I wouldn't smoke again, but I was anxious and scared, I bought 1 pack the very next day as a backup (in case I extremely fell to smoke, I thought I could open the pack and have one). 2-3 days passed and I had not taken a single cigarette, after a week, I threw that pack in the garbage. I have never smoked again.
I always ask myself, what is it that if I can't keep a word to myself, and it worked for me? I stayed away from smoking ever since.
- Have a routine, I will do some sort of exercise every day for about 45 minutes. I eat the same breakfast (almost) every day, 365 days. I wear the same or similar dress every day, and most importantly, I sleep before 11 PM almost every day.
You may ask, isn't it boring? Yes, it is (at times), that's how life is (at least IMO). You can't be 100% every day, but that's okay. We exert a lot of energy in making any decisions, by reducing the options, you have fewer decisions to make and you will have more time to focus on things that are important to you.
- Learn something new every day and start journaling them. I started my investing journey like that, I didn't know anything about it initially, but over some time, gained considerable knowledge in it and I am super happy about it. And I continued to learn today as well.
So, pick a niche and start learning. Imagine if you had all the money that you have to live until your death, what would you do to pass the time? Identify your interests and nourish them regularly.
I can write more :P – but I think these are a few imp points that worked for me. So the takeaway is, do something meaningful for your benefit, every single day. PERIOD.
