Coming from a person working as a software engg, it doesn’t matter in my workplace. I have a tattoo on my forearm n it makes no difference.
Depends on what the message is.
If its butterflies and scorpions and flying birds and names of loved ones, generally acceptable.
If you're carving the hakenkreuz on yourself, I would advise against it.

Journalists ke liye no issues I think. Corporate sales guys ke liye no no.
We too face people and sometimes our appearance/seniority influences the way they respond to our questions.
