IBM Bench Timeline

Posting this on behalf of my friend. Someone pls help they are worried sick.

One of my friend working in IBM joined a new project but they didn't liked the project so they asked to change the teams by requesting the manager, now they have been put on the bench. I wanted to ask will they be removed from the company in 1 month if they don't find another team or how is the policy on the bench. I know that the notice period is reduced during bench but what is the max duration they can stay on bench.

You will have 3 months to find a project, after which if you dont get you will be asked to resign by your pem.
