I had the same conversation with my skip manager (director of products), he is an ISB alum. He told at a macro level, major economic development will happen in Asia. So by the time i will be ready for leadership roles post MBA I.e 10-12 years post MBA then India is expected to be a major economic force (8-12 Tn. Economy). This will create more room for leadership roles here than in US / Europe.

Yes, but wont be easy to get job in India after working abroad rather than vice versa

It’s not that way, IIMs, ISB, XL, all have a strong lobby in leadership. For someone to crack these roles with foreign MBA unless (M7 I.e Harvard, Stanford, etc.) is tough. Also, for leadership firms require people that have experience in relevant geography. So any firm setting up in India would need someone who has good connects (alumni base helps here) and knows local customer (working in India helps here) they would max bring people from US for specialised skills like tech, process development, culture development, leadership hiring, etc.

ISB is great for getting into manager/leadership roles in India. Do ISB if you want to stay here long term
