My Learnings as a Software Engineer 1 year into corporate

  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ Before anything else, communication skills are the most important. Helps with building your brand in your org. Even code is a part of the ways you communicate.
  • ๐ŸŒŸ If possible and if available, pick up role models in your office whom you feel are really good at dealing with people and learn from them
  • ๐Ÿ“– Basics are a MUST. I regret not taking Networks, OS, Databases seriously in college. They are Hella interesting. I'm learning about them out of interest but struggle to manage time. Dsa is not the only thing about software engineering.
  • ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป Take up tough challenges. Trust me people have achieved so much recognition and growth in just 1-2 years by taking up the most difficult tasks at hand

Finally a great line by our MD - "Everyone at the office are your friends. While some are best friends"

Do in future it's not about how w...
